3 Eagles players not named AJ Brown or Jalen Hurts who can single-handedly change the 2024 season

It's that dreadful dead period where we will barely hear anything from players or coaches as they take some much-needed time off before they need to report to NFL training camp.

So, now is the perfect time to go ahead and look at what next year could bring and three players who could single-handedly change the 2024 NFL season for the best.

3 Eagles players not named AJ Brown or Jalen Hurts who can single-handedly change the 2024 season

We're not going to get too obvious here, knowing guys like AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, Jalen Carter, and Jalen Hurts are all going to be the clear-cut keys to winning football games this fall.

DB Cooper DeJean

The Eagles don't have a plan for extremely versatile rookie Cooper DeJean yet, but it looks like he's trending toward playing cornerback.

That doesn't mean he won't get snaps at safety or in the slot because, from the sound of it, he's made a smooth transition to the next level and has looked solid everywhere he's lined up.

The Eagles' secondary was an embarrassment last year, but they'll be able to quickly redeem themselves if DeJean can become a real dual-threat weapon in Year 1. And if that happens, then opposing teams will have no idea how to plan for stopping this Eagle defense.

Additionally, DeJean’s punt and kick returner skills will only enhance the Eagles' special teams.

WR Johnny Wilson

I want so badly for Johnny Wilson to make the final roster and become the Eagles wide receiver No. 3. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen but he's working his a-- off in order to do so.

Wilson was spotted working out privately with Hurts and Parris Campbell over the weekend.

Campbell, a veteran, is Wilson's biggest threat at making the roster for now as he and Hurts appear to have the best chemistry.

But imagine the Eagles have the league's tallest wide receiver, at 6-foot-6 and 231 pounds, as their third wideout. His catch radius is outrageous. He also has a lot of speed. A giant wide receiver would automatically terrorize any cornerback he's up against.

C Cameron Jurgens

Jason Kelce is gone, which means is the Cam Jurgens show.

There's a lot of doubt surrounding Jurgens and his ability to replace Kelce's production.

But Kelce wouldn't have picked his own successor if he didn't believe he could replace him.

The hope is that Jurgens shocks many, the tush push continues to dominate, and we don't see fans begging for Kelce to unretire.
