A Mahomes luxurious European vacation: Golf, beaches, matching mommy-daughter swimsuits

Brittany Mahomes has lifted the lid of secrecy from the family’s summer vacation, revealing that she and her Super Bowl-winning husband, Patrick Mahomes, have been in Portugal with their two small children.

Mahomes fans, including WNBA star Caitlin Clark, are following posts by Brittany, a KC Current co-owner, on Instagram.

She tagged a set of vacation photos with a simple “Portugal,” earning a like from Clark. Others wanted to know how the family chose Portugal as a stop on what Mahomes has said will be a four-week getaway.

Patrick, quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has shared some of Brittany’s posts and photos on his Instagram Story. The friends they are traveling with are posting photos as well, most recently from Spain’s “sunshine coast” along the Mediterranean Sea.

“Well deserved!!!!” one of Brittany’s followers commented. “And significance on Portugal? It’s a place we’ve been considering. So going to be following closely. Enjoy!!”

Another fan wrote that her husband had guessed the Mahomeses were at the Lake of the Ozarks.

“No the Ozarks doesn’t have sandy beaches,” joked another commenter.

In Portugal the family has spent a lot of time on the beach and, no surprise, on a golf course. Patrick is an avid golfer.

Pictures show Patrick throwing 3-year-old daughter Sterling Skye into the air on a beach; her little brother, 18-month-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, looking all cute in the sand; and the family posing near the water.

In one photo, Brittany, who is featured in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and Sterling wear matching bright orange bathing suits on the beach.

The couples have enjoyed adult time, too, with cocktails and decadent desserts at a Dolce & Gabbana Martini Bar, where the menus are decorated with the design house’s logo.

Mahomes fans are keenly aware that the couple is overseas at the same time Patrick’s teammate Travis Kelce is in Europe with Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour. He joined her on stage at the last of three shows at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday.

Swift begins a three-night stand in Dublin, Ireland, on Friday before spending the Fourth of July performing in Amsterdam.

“Queen are you going to the eras tour my friends and I wanna know,” one commenter asked Brittany on Instagram.

“I’m sure she’s going to answer lol,” teased another commenter.

But, Brittany answered — with eye emojis.
