Alexa Lemieux Says Brennon’s Push for Baby #2 Is Causing Tension: “He Wants a Son, But I’m Not Ready”

The fairytale that began in the pods may be hitting a rough patch.

Love Is Blind star Alexa Alfia Lemieux is getting real about the private pressures mounting inside her marriage to Brennon Lemieux — and at the heart of it is a deeply personal decision: whether or not to have a second child.

In a candid and emotional interview, Alexa opened up about the increasing tension between her and Brennon as he pushes to expand their family — and she confesses it’s a conversation that’s beginning to unravel their connection.

“Brennon’s ready. Like, really ready,” Alexa shared. “He wants a son. He talks about it constantly. And I love him… but I’m just not there yet.”

“I Feel Like I’m Failing Him — and Myself”

Alexa says that while the couple shares a deep love and a happy home with their first child, the conversation around baby #2 has turned from dreamy talk to daily pressure.

“Every time I hesitate, I see the disappointment in his eyes,” she admitted. “He doesn’t say it outright, but I can feel it. Like I’m letting him down — and that kills me.”

She explained that the pressure isn’t just emotional. It’s physical, mental, and layered with fear.

“I’m still recovering — not just physically, but emotionally. Pregnancy, childbirth, being a mom… it’s beautiful, yes, but it’s also a lot,” she said. “And I don’t think people understand how hard it is to give your entire body, your identity, your time, again — when you haven’t fully come back from the first time.”

“I Know He Sees a Son. I See Sleepless Nights.”

Brennon has reportedly been vocal about his hopes for a baby boy, often daydreaming about father-son moments, coaching little league, and naming the next Lemieux.

“It’s sweet. It really is,” Alexa said, her voice cracking. “But every time he says, ‘This is the year,’ I feel this wave of panic. Because I know what it costs. I’ve lived it.”

She says their once-easy communication has become more strained as emotions rise and timing clashes with reality.

“We’ve had fights. We’ve said things we regret,” she admitted. “And the scariest part is — this isn’t about love. We still love each other. This is about timing, about readiness, about two people wanting the same dream but on very different timelines.”

“I Just Want Him to See Me, Not a Clock”

Alexa says she’s not saying “no” forever — just “not yet.” But that nuance is getting lost in the noise.

“I want another baby too. But I also want to feel like me again first,” she said. “I want to feel seen as a person, not just a mom, or a future mom. Just Alexa.”

Despite the tension, Alexa holds onto hope — that they’ll find their rhythm again, that love will guide them through the pressure, and that Brennon will understand her silence isn’t rejection, it’s vulnerability.

“He’s my person. He always has been. I just hope he can be patient with the parts of me that are still healing.”
