Ally Lewber claimed her friend Scheana Shay helped her see that Lisa Vanderpump “manipulated” her during their phone call about Ally’s split with boyfriend James Kennedy after Lisa made her question if she “made the wrong choice.”

In December, the Vanderpump Rules star was arrested on suspicion of a domestic violence incident involving Ally. Charges were later dropped, though Ally broke up with him and moved out. Recently, she recalled a phone call in which Lisa apparently tried to convince her to stay with James.

On Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Ally addressed the phone call with Lisa.

“I’m not hating on myself right now when I say this about me: I’m very impressionable,” said Ally. “I trust [Vanderpump]. I’m like, ‘You’re really smart.’ … I trust her for the most part.”

“She is a Virgo. She’s very articulate. She’s so well-spoken,” she went on. “Like, it’s frickin’ Lisa Vanderpump. So when she calls you and she’s making you laugh but also kind of making sense, I’m like, ‘Is she right? Did I make a wrong choice?’”

As she felt confused about the split, Ally contacted Scheana.

“I called Scheana after, and she was like, ‘No, you were just manipulated, and also that was really wrong of her to do,’” said Ally. “And I was like, ‘OK, yeah, you’re right.’ I had to literally sit back and [ask], ‘What?’”

“I think she genuinely has so much love for James, and that’s why I felt for her — because I get it. I don’t want him to suffer either,” she added. “I will say with [Vanderpump being a] Virgo and the helping of it all, I really do think Lisa genuinely wants to help as best as she can.”

On January 22, Ally wrote an Instagram post after James’ lawyer Scott Leemon confirmed that Burbank City wouldn’t be filing any charges against James regarding his December arrest.

“Thank you for all your support and kindness,” wrote Ally. “I am happy that prosecutors decided not to file against James as I never desired criminal charges. We had an argument outside of his home related to him drinking again, however, I was not physically hurt.”

Ally said she was “shocked by the headlines and disheartened by how the event was portrayed.” She also shared that she’ll “always support” James and wishes him “the best.”
