What is a reality television show without the added drama of a wardrobe malfunction?
Leading up to its season 11 reunion finale, the Vanderpump Rules tell-all delivered heated arguments and emotional heart-to-hearts. But on the final episode of the three-part event, it also saw its costars Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney get into a hilarious fashion mishap that brought the friends quite literally the closest they’ve ever been.
In a clip of the May 28 episode shared by Bravo, a crying Madix can be seen leaning on Maloney’s shoulder for emotional support. The two embrace until Madix tries to pull away — but finds her hair tangled in Maloney's dangling earring.
"Oh no, oh s–t, oh god” Madix says in the now viral clip.
The serious moment suddenly turns into relatable chaos as the two laugh while they figure out how to extract themselves from one another. “We’re [going to] sit like this for the rest of the time,” Madix quips, unable to move from Maloney’s lap.
Multiple members of staff try to fix the tricky situation, including host Andy Cohen.
“Katie, unfortunately we’re gonna have to cut your hair. I have to shave your head,” he jokes. "This is really funny I have to tell you. Thank god this happened.”
Once Madix, 38, and Maloney, 37, free themselves one another, Cohen warns Maloney of a nip-slip. “You’re boob is about to come out,” but she assured him that her cutout halter-neck dress was secured with tape.
This reunion, Madix and Maloney were prepared to steal scenes with their bombshell looks.
Madix, who famously wore a sizzling revenge dress last reunion, channeled “super vixen” vibes with an abs-baring blue LaQuan Smith bodysuit and skirt that she described as “futuristic” but also “naked” Similarly, Maloney walked on set ready to serve “sex, silver and boobs” with her Retrofête dress.
The two friends recently opened up their Los Angeles sandwich shop, Something About Her (located down the street from Lisa Vanderpump's SUR, where Vanderpump Rules all started) and told PEOPLE that they really just want the Nancy Meyers-inspired space to be a relaxing eatery.
"Of course, we want people to have fun, but at the same time, this is a place where they're able to just sit down and take a moment out of their day to enjoy a sandwich and a glass of wine, maybe," said Madix.
Fans can expect to see the reality television stars pouring into their “labor of love” and working at the shop. "We'll both be here as much as we can in some capacity," Madix shared. "But we want the sandwiches and this wonderful place to be the star of the show, not us."
