Ariana Madix is not here for the hateful conversations on social media directed at Islanders from Love Island USA Season 7.
During her latest appearance on Aftersun, Madix addressed the negative comments some of the Islanders from the Peacock series are getting on social media.
“I love the passion of the audience, but sometimes it’s like, ‘Give them a second to resolve their argument before you just hop online and start being absolutely atrocious to these Islanders,'” Madix said on the weekly talk show.
She continued, “It blows my mind that again I have to say not to harass them on the internet. And I don’t understand why week after week we have to keep saying, ‘Don’t do that.'”
The host of the dating series understands the vitriol that some viewers direct at reality TV personalities, having been part of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules. With the rise in popularity of Love Island USA and the multiple controversies in Season 7, more eyes have been put on the show.
As Casa Amor played out in the series, Love Island USA issued a warning to viewers to “be kind and spread the love” instead of negativity.
On Sunday night’s episode, it was announced that Cierra Ortega had been removed from the show after a resurfaced social media post went viral where the Islander used a racial slur. Her parents subsequently issued a statement asking fans to tone it down as “no one deserves that kind of hate.”
