Artem Chigvintsev Denies Reports He Wants To Reconcile With Nikki Garcia

The news around Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Garcia continues swirling. Unfortunately, with all that news rolling around, there are bound to be some false reports.

In the world of Dancing with the Stars (and reality TV in general), rumors spiral. Right now, the topic of Artem and Nikki’s split remains fresh in people’s minds. The claims against Artem seemingly came out of nowhere. Understandably, the public latched onto the news with a vested interest.

The good news amid the media storm is that Nikki continually places herself in safer circumstances. Moreover, as Nikki’s sister said, the truth will always prevail. We naturally have that hope as human beings. In this most recent case, Artem was all too quick to set the record straight.

Artem Chigvintsev calls the reconciliation report “incorrect”

On October 16, Us Weekly reported that Artem wanted to reconcile with Nikki. A source told the outlet, “Artem has wanted to reconcile with Nikki. He doesn’t want the family to be divided, and [would love] to put this behind them.” In contrast, the source added, “Nikki wants to move forward.”

The source also emphasized that Artem would “respect [Nikki’s] wishes and boundaries.” That same day, Artem reached out to PEOPLE to give a contrary report. “The reporting that I wanted to reconcile with Nikki is incorrect,” Artem told the outlet. Artem’s attorney also confirmed that Artem hadn’t communicated with Nikki since early October.

Artem’s statement to PEOPLE does make more sense than the idea that he’d want to reconcile. At this point, the damage seems irreparable. When you file a restraining order against someone, reconciliation isn’t a likely outcome. And let’s not forget that Nikki filed her restraining order first. It’s probably best for both parties to just stay apart.
