Bachelor alum Joey Graziadei says he'll 'fully' support Bachelorette star Jenn Tran on Dancing With the Stars

Former Bachelor star Joey Graziadei is looking forward to rooting for fellow Bachelor Nation alum Jenn Tran as they both compete on season 33 of Dancing With the Stars.

"It's amazing. I'm just going to support Jenn fully," the 29-year-old said at a recent press line for the reality series. "I know a lot of things have come from all this, and I think she's just really excited for her next opportunity, and I'm going to support her fully."

Tran was one of several suitors who vied for Graziadei's heart on his season of The Bachelor, which aired earlier this year. The 26-year-old later embarked on her own journey to find love on The Bachelorette, though she tearfully revealed last week on the show's live finale that her fiancé had called off their engagement shortly after filming wrapped.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently, Tran revealed that she had less than an hour after filming the finale to hop on a plane to attend the Dancing With the Stars live cast reveal on Good Morning America the next morning.

With the announcement, Graziadei and Tran became the latest members of Bachelor Nation to make the jump between the two ABC series, joining a long list of fan favorites like Trista Sutter, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules, Nick Viall, Hannah Brown, and Matt James.

Graziadei knew exactly who to reach out about how to best navigate the show, too. "Obviously Charity [Lawson] and Dotun [Olubeko]," he said. "I'm close with both of them, and they were able to explain it from both sides, from Dotun being the person coming off the show and having to deal with everything that comes with it, and then Charity actually going through it." (Lawson competed on season 32 of Dancing With the Stars, finishing in fourth place.)

The couple's advice was extremely beneficial for both Graziadei and his fiancée, Kelsey Anderson. "They gave us a lot of things to come in with, but mostly were just super supportive and want us to really kind of have our own journey of our own," he continued. "That's very cool."

Bachelor fans will know that Dancing With the Stars won't be the first time Graziadei has shown off his fancy footwork — the tennis professional previously learned the flamenco during a one-on-one date in Spain on the dating show.

"I would say don't judge me off of flamenco," Graziadei said first and foremost about his dancing ability. "And I would say, [his partner, Jenna Johnson] gave me a 6, so I'm just gonna go with that. We're 6 out of 10 start, which I think is pretty good!"

He believes his tennis background will serve him well, too. "I think light on the feet is a big part of it. You have to kind of be able to move sometimes in lunge positions," Graziadei said. "[Johnson's] been a little more surprised, I think, that I have a little bit of lunge ability and light feet, so I think it's a good spot."

Johnson interjected, "You're flexible!" To which Graziadei responded, "I have never heard that in my life until she told me that, so I'll take it!"

The pair have recently begun rehearsals ahead of the season premiere next week, with Graziadei praising Johnson for her ability to "teach me the steps" and helping him feel "extremely comfortable" along the way.

"It's all about trust," Johnson explained. Graziadei added, "And I think we have that early on, which is great, and we're hoping just going to build that throughout."

Dancing With the Stars season 33 will premiere Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu.
