‘Bachelor’ Fans Furious Over Shocking Eliminations, Call Out the Show

Grant Ellis sent more women home this week on The Bachelor. He’s one step closer to finding his wife. But some viewers took to social media to call out the shocking decisions he made in the latest episode.

Four Women Left On Season 29

Grant took the remaining contestants overseas on the latest episode of The Bachelor. Alexe Godin, Carolina Quixano, Dina Lupancu, Juliana Pasquarosa, Litia Garr, Sarafiena Watkins, and Zoe McGrady joined him in Scotland for bonding time, and, of course, drama.

Litia and Juliana both received alone time with Grant on separate one-on-one dates. Alexe, Carolina, Dina, Sarafiena, and Zoe joined him on a group date to play Scottish games. However, Carolina sat the date out because she was upset that she wasn’t building a stronger connection with Grant.

At the rose ceremony, Grant narrowed it down to the four women who will go on Hometown Dates in the next episode. Litia, Juliana, Zoe, and Dina got roses.

That means Alexe, Carolina, and Sarafeina went home.

Bachelor Fans Share Shock Over Unexpected Eliminations

Bachelor Nation viewers took to social media to express their shock at Grant’s decision on who advances to Hometowns. Viewers had a lot of thoughts about who should have stayed.

  • “Grant is the worst bachelor ever. Zoe over Sarafiena and Alexe? This guy does not know ball.”
  • “Zoey [sic] making it to the hometowns might be the biggest upset in Bachelor history. I don’t think anyone saw that coming.”
  • “Grant spending all that time hyping Carolina up to stay just to skip her in the rose ceremony. Why do I feel like he wasted MY time and I wasn’t even there lol.”
  • “zoe getting a hometown after not getting a one-on-one is insanity”
  • “Zoe?! Grant, my man… are we watching the same show you’re filming?”

However, many viewers were glad to see Carolina go home. One fan wrote on Twitter, “Carolina is not interesting enough to have this show centered on her as the villain. Pretty tired of having to watch her alternate between pouty and crying or smug and disinterested”

Another Issue Bothering Viewers

The eliminations wasn’t the only Bachelor hot topic on social media. The fact that next week is Hometown Dates garnered a lot of chatter and talk. If Grant’s season feels shorter than normal, it is. His season only has nine episodes. By comparison, Joey Graziadei’s season of the Bachelor last year had eleven episodes.

  • “this has to be the fastest season of the bachelor.. how is it already home towns next week!?”
  • “HOMETOWNS ARE NEXT WEEK?? I feel like I don’t even know the women,”
  • “Seasons like this that feel so rushed makes it really hard to get invested in the relationships.”

One social media commentator summed up what’s wrong with Season 29. “This season is blah, but that man does look good in a kilt,” they wrote about Grant Ellis.
