Grant Ellis turned up the heat in the Dominican Republic.
The day trader, 31, headed to Secrets Tides Punta Cana on the March 17 episode of The Bachelor for the final leg of his journey. He embarked on Fantasy Suite dates with finalists Juliana, Litia and Zoe, but going into the overnights, Grant wavered on where he stood.
“My biggest hope for this week is that I further my connection and get clarity on who my wife is going to be, because at this point in time, I don’t know,” Grant said in a confessional interview.
JULIANA’S FANTASY SUITE
Juliana, 28, chatted with Daisy Kent from Joey Graziadei’s season to get her perspective on Fantasy Suites before meeting up with Grant to go ATVing.
“Next time, I’m driving!” Juliana quipped to Grant.
Grant told Juliana that his grandma was from the Dominican Republic, and she recently died.
Juliana admitted that not being the only girl left caused her some stress.
“I start to spiral because I also know that there’s other girls here that he’s also forming connections with and the fact that it could not be me reminds me of my past relationship,” the client service associate said in an on-camera interview.
But Grant gave her reassurance. “I am falling for you, and this whole week is obviously hard, but I’m going to let you know, I think about you a lot,” he told Juliana.
They sipped champagne, and Juliana opened up more about being cheated on in the past.
“It did like, a lot of damage to me that’s hard to talk about and admit,” she confessed. “You know, it broke me to the point that I had to walk away.”
Juliana said that now, she’s “a little broken” and “still working to fix myself.”
“I look at you and I’m like who … somebody messed up letting you down like that,” Grant said to Juliana. “Where somebody else messed up, I see treasure.”
Grant told Juliana she doesn’t “have to always be perfect” and reiterated to her, “I am falling in love with you.”
When Grant invited Juliana to the Fantasy Suite, she accepted, calling it a “no-brainer.”
“I really want Grant to be my person forever,” Juliana told the cameras.
The next morning, Juliana referred to the overnight with Grant as a “12 out of 10 experience” and said they “said a lot of things” and “had a lot of fun.”
“You’re a keeper, too,” Grant said to Juliana.
In an on-camera interview, Juliana said that her Fantasy Suite with Grant gave them “the space and opportunity to just go deeper.”
“It was exactly what we needed,” she concluded.
ZOE’S FANTASY SUITE
Before meeting up with Grant, Zoe, 27, chatted with Rachel Nance from Joey’s season about not getting a lot of time with him before their Fantasy Suite date.
Feeling reassured, Zoe headed to a silent yoga class with Grant.
“First thing I was thinking was, ‘don’t fart,’ honestly,” Grant told the cameras.
Despite some awkwardness, Zoe said in a confessional interview she felt that "there was a lot of connectedness.”
Afterwards, Grant and Zoe sat down to keep getting to know one another.
“I actually dent know that much about you,” the tech engineer and model said to Grant.
Grant dove into talking about his childhood before the discussion moved to when they wanted to have kids.
“Your timeline matches with my timeline,” Grant said to Zoe.
Grant asked Zoe to join him in the Fantasy Suite, to which Zoe said, “I’m down.”
“I can very much see an engagement with Zoe,” Grant told the cameras.
The next day, Zoe described her time away from the cameras with Grant as a “pivotal evening.”
LITIA’S FANTASY SUITE
Lastly, Litia spoke with Zach Shallcross’s fiancée Kaity Biggar about the former Bachelor’s no-sex policy in the Fantasy Suites — and how he informed Kaity, 30, that he broke that with another woman.
“I don’t want to hear about the other dates,” Litia, 31, told Kaity.
After going ziplining with Grant, Litia told the former basketball pro about the “anxiety” that his “other relationships” caused for her.
“I’m going to be in love with one woman and I’m gonna spend my life with one person,” Grant said to Litia. “If it’s us after, I don’t want that to affect us.”
Over dinner, the conversation turned to when they’d want to start a family, with Litia sharing that she hoped to be a mom in two years.
“Litia’s timeline is a lot faster than mine in terms of having children,” Grant told the cameras. “I always envisioned my partner and I enjoying life for a little while before taking that step.”
Then Litia enacted her own no-sex policy with Grant. “I think you’re a very good guy and I think you have great intentions and I think you have only been so, so respectful to me,” she said to Grant. “But it’s hard for me right now because there are still people here, so I just have to make choices that will help me kind of protect my feelings and my peace. And so, sex is just not like on the table for me.”
Grant respected her choice.
“It’s not the foundation of the relationship because when you make that your foundation, it’s not built the right way,” Grant said. “I think the maturity that you bring is great. I like the ground that you stand on and I know where your priorities are and I know what’s important to you. It’s what you are on the inside that I can see myself with you, I can see you as my wife because I do love you.”
Grant called Litia “a once in a lifetime woman” in a confessional interview. “It feels like we’re supposed to be together,” he added.
Litia decided to spend the night with The Bachelor and said the next morning that she felt ”happy and closer with Grant.”
“I have a more complete picture of who he is and I still love him,” Litia told the cameras.
ROSE CEREMONY
Meanwhile, Grant second guessed saying “I love you” to Litia when he did. “She’s somebody who I want to spend every day with, but I also feel, maybe, you know, I should have waited a little longer,” he said in a confessional interview.
Grant didn’t know how to move forward with the rest of the women. “I do love her, but I also am falling hard and if not very close to in love with somebody else,” he explained to the cameras. “I never thought it would be possible to be in love with multiple women. So do I stop here? Do I pick Litia now? Or do I continue to pursue the other woman?”
At the rose ceremony, Grant told the women he had to “go with my heart” when it came to making the tough decision about who to keep.
First, Grant gave a rose to Litia, followed by Juliana, which meant he sent home Zoe.
“Saying goodbye to Zoe is really hard and I’m happy that got to know her because Zoe is an amazing woman,” Grant said to the cameras. “But ultimately, Zoe and I weren’t in a place to get married. We just weren’t.”
The next morning, Grant woke up feeling “conflicted” and he met with his family to help him decide.
“I’m freaking out and I’m about to make the biggest decision of my life,” Grant said. “I’m torn between two amazing women, you know? And I don’t know who my future wife is going to be yet. I’ve never been this indecisive in my life.”
The Bachelor finale airs Monday, March 24, at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
