Viewers waited almost two years for a new season of Bachelor In Paradise. But so far, Season 10 has been a massive disappointment. Some fans think it would be a major improvement with the Golden stars only. Why?
Bachelor In Paradise Season 10 Breaks The Generational Barrier
Bachelor In Paradise last aired in late 2023. The show was off the air for nearly two years while undergoing some big changes. Season 10 has a new location (Costa Rica,) a new hosting addition (Hannah Brown,) and an all-new production look. But the change that took fans by surprise the most was the addition of the Golden Bachelor and Golden Bachelorette contestants.
Fans of the show weren’t sure how the older generation would interact with the younger set. Many were grossed out by the idea of an age-gap romance. While romance never sparked between the generations, at least one platonic kiss was exchanged. April Kirkwood even gave her rose to Jonathon Johnson as a sign of friendship.
The Golden contestants weren’t the only surprise producers had in store. Jesse Palmer revealed during last week’s episode that the show was no longer a dating show. Instead, the couples already established are now in a competition to win a cash prize of $500,000.
Fans Demand Season With Only Goldens
The remaining couples will now be eliminated together. Goldens Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima were the first to go home in the new rules. Only two senior couples remain – Faith Martin and Kim Buike, and Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon.
Many fans aren’t happy with the lack of options for the older generation. Season 10 began with only ten Golden contestants compared to sixteen from the Bachelor and Bachelorette.
One fan took to social media to propose a Bachelor In Paradise season of just Golden contestants. The suggestion was met with major approval from some other fans.

There was a lot of chatter about a Golden Bachelor In Paradise when Joan Vassos’ season of The Golden Bachelorette was airing. ABC never shared why they decided to combine the young and older cast for Season 10.
It may have been an experiment. With a new Golden Bachelor season coming, there will be more options for a possible Goldens-only Bachelor In Paradise season. Would you watch?
