From The Bachelor To The Runway: See Her Modeling Debut

Kelsey Anderson won Joey Graziadei’s heart on Season 28 of The Bachelor. She left her job in construction project management to film the reality show. She plans to return someday, but for now, Kelsey and Joey are using their fame to support themselves.

Kelsey regularly films ‘Get Ready With Me’ TikTok videos and other social media content. Both Joey and Kelsey profit from Instagram collaborations with brands. They recently partnered with popular convenience store Wawa and also promoted Amazon’s Prime Day in July.

But Kelsey Anderson’s fans have been encouraging her to give modeling a try. She finally got the chance at the famed New York Fashion Week earlier this month. She walked in the Sherri Hill fashion show.

The social media sensation took to TikTok to share a silly video of her recreating her runway walk with some friends on the streets of New York City.

But a few people found the video upsetting. Why? Kelsey Anderson takes on a dramatic, fake New York accent. It’s something she does when she films social media content when she’s in NYC. Joey and Kelsey originally planned to move to the Big Apple for the summer but put those plans on hold when Joey Graziadei was cast on Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars.

The TikTok was posted on Reddit and received a mix of reactions. A few people found the accent offensive. One person wrote, “She’s gotta stop. Her fake accents are so bad and offensive. I can’t believe she’s still doing them.”

Another added, “Not this again. Based on her past TikToks Joey looks like he dies a little inside every time she does this. He’s so kind and respectful and she’s either not bright enough to understand why isn’t this okay or is doing it purposefully.”

But Kelsey Anderson also had her defenders. One Bachelor Nation fan denied it was mocking New York accents. They wrote, “Trying to speak with someone else’s accent can be done as mockery. Or someone can try to do an accent because they like it and it’s fun to try to get it.”

Do you think Kelsey is mocking NY accents?
