Backstage Explosion: Venita Aspen & JT Thomas’ SHOCKING Face-Off – 'I’ll Risk Everything to DESTROY You!'

Venita Aspen and Jarrett "JT" Thomas' intense back and forth at the Southern Charm Season 10 reunion surprisingly ended with a sweet backstage moment — literally.

After hashing out their friendship-turned-relationship drama in Part 2 of the reunion, Venita stopped by JT’s dressing room during a filming break, and she came bearing gifts: two plastic cups that appeared to contain juice.

The only problem? "I can't have the sugar," JT, who previously shared his Type 1 diabetes diagnosis, told her.

When Venita pressed him to drink "just a little bit, as a truce," her fellow Charmer agreed, proving that some old habits really do die hard.

"Yes, I'll down it. I'll risk my life," JT said, before jokingly asking, "Are you trying to kill me?"

Playfully insisting she was, in fact, not trying to kill him, Venita, who offered a tequila soda as an alternative, warned JT to not make his glucose monitor beep.

Enter a producer, who accused JT and Ventia of "flirting again."

In response, JT insisted, "No, we're not flirting anymore. We're just… I'm trying to be good," while Venita also claimed, "I'm not flirting."

The reunion didn’t start out on quite the same friendly note for them, though.

As viewers learned at the conclusion of the Southern Charm Season 10 finale, one-time BFFs JT and Venita began dating two months after cameras stopped rolling, but their whirlwind romance ended soon after. Venita unfollowed JT on social media, and, prior to the reunion, which filmed on February 6, they hadn’t spoken in more than three months.

The Southern Charm Reunion Part 2 kicked off with Venita retrieving her phone from backstage to present receipts that she believed disproved JT's claim that she "ghosted" him at the end of their relationship.

Though she told him she needed some time to herself via text message, he said her lack of response afterward hurt him. After attempting to contact Venita for about a week, JT said he couldn’t keep sitting "in limbo" and went Instagram official with a new girlfriend, days later.

"You don’t think that was gonna hurt me?" Venita asked JT, who eventually responded, "That's fair. I can see you getting mad about that. Look, it was a big miscommunication, but my feelings were there."

Where Venita and JT's relationship stands after the Southern Charm reunion

After host Andy Cohen observed that Venita and JT seemed to "still have a lot of love and chemistry for each other," he asked the two where they go from here.

"I'd like to repair it and get the friendship back," JT answered.

Venita, for her part, confessed — after some hesitation and a couple heavy sighs — that not only did she want to be friends with JT again, but she still wanted to date him, too. However, she pointed out that JT still had a girlfriend.

"I'm not gonna allow myself to work on our friendship with her in the picture because I know she does not like me," Venita explained, later adding, "I mean, I can't do much. He's dating somebody."

Regardless, she confirmed that she felt "cleaner" with JT than she did coming into the Season 10 reunion, while he described "a huge weight off [his] shoulders."

As JT summed up, "I think step one is just being here today and, like, seeing you in person. And I think we just take it one day at a time."
