The pair met in a famous battle in New York in 2022 where Serrano came up short, but a sequel will now be held in a huge stadium as the co-main event to Paul's clash with legend Tyson on November 15.

Paul, the promoter of Serrano, claimed before their initial meeting two years ago that the pair earned around $1 million each for their mega-fight.

And it was expected that they would once again earn big, with the huge event set to bring in sizeable revenue next month.

A social media post based on Irish media reports claimed that Taylor would earn a career-high purse of $6.1 million for the second meeting.

But Serrano reacted to the post, replying: "But mine is bigger lol."

It would be close to $10 million if the claim is true, a monumental moment for women's boxing.

A huge increase would be shown, and would once again prove Paul's backing of Serrano and women's boxing in general.

Paul has tried to increase fighter pay for Serrano ever since signing her to his label Most Valuable Promotions.

It is no wonder the pair will earn record purses, given their all-action performances at Madison Square Garden in the first contest.

Taylor got the edge in a brave performance, but will now go again in front of 80,000 at the AT&T Stadium in Texas.

History will be made with the event to be screened on streaming service Netflix, giving the pair a huge platform to renew their rivalry.

Despite the positive reviews around the women's battle, Paul and Tyson have come into criticism for their showdown.

Paul is fighting Tyson who is now 58 years old and is far from his heyday, to the concern of the boxing public.

And Taylor's promoter Eddie Hearn felt he was unable to turn down the offer for the Irish star despite not agreeing with the main event.

"We negotiated the whole fight because it was the right opportunity for Katie Taylor," explained Hearn.

"It was the right offer and I want to thank DAZN for allowing us to have that sensical conversation to say 'look lets let her get the win here and then we'll be back for a big fight'.

"But at this point in her career when we receive an offer like that, the right offer, we have to consider it.

"It's got nothing to do with the main event. It's just the right opportunity for my fighter, someone that we care about a lot, someone that deserves everything from the sport of boxing.

"Financially this was a big opportunity, we like the fight, she wants to be on the biggest fights out there. Simple as that."

Paul and Tyson themselves are expected to earn big from the event.

It is estimated that the pair could both earn in excess of $20 million for the eight-round clash.
