Brandi Glanville opened up about not having sex for over a year due to her skin condition, which is still a mystery. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum also shared an update with plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow, who promised to help her, and she responded to online haters, admitting she’s “miserable.”
Brandi has met with several doctors to try to find out why her face is swelling. One doctor apparently suggested it was a parasite living in her skin, and Brandi explained that it seems to move around when she touches it.
On her Unfiltered podcast, Brandi shared that she met up with Botched’s Dr. Terry Dubrow, who allegedly told her that it may take as much as “five years” before her face gets back to its regular appearance.
“Five years is way too long for me to wait,” she said, via PEOPLE. “I have s— to do. I have places to go, people to make out with. I have not had sex since last October. I haven’t kissed [or] made out with anyone. I haven’t socialized, really.”
Though she shared that Terry is a “lovely man,” Brandi decided that the plastic surgeon wasn’t the best fit for what she’s looking for. According to the star, she hopes to have a deeper medical assessment to figure out what’s wrong.
“I want to run tests, and I wanna get another MRI and another CAT scan and do all the things. I wanna get to the bottom of this. I just don’t wanna guess at what it is,” said Brandi. “I have four different opinions from these four different great doctors of what it could possibly be … So if they’re perplexed, I’m perplexed, and there is no answer right now, you know? That’s it.”
“My face is f—– but it is what it is. I had 50 good years,” she quipped. But Brandi shared that speaking out about the issue took “this giant pressure off of me,” and she now doesn’t feel the need to “hide anymore.”
“I was hiding and isolating in f—— misery, not wanting to share what was going on with anyone and not wanting to see anyone,” said Brandi.
On X, Brandi clapped back at online critics.
“I get it I look BAD!” wrote the star. “My entire neck shoulders & head feel [IMMENSE] pressure, I’m seeing a new Dr. on the 8th — [I’M] MISERABLE.”
“Be nicer,” she went on. “I shared this in case it’s happening to others — please be kinder online [as] I’ve been going through this for over a year. I’m fragile I admit it PLEASE.”
