Things are shaping up for the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16. Not only did Porsha Williams say filming is set to begin this week, but it has been confirmed that RHOA OG Shereé Whitfield won’t be gracing our screens for this season. Plus, Bravo has finally confirmed the cast.

As fans know, Kandi Burruss was the first peach holder to announce her departure. Since then, we’ve learned that Marlo Hampton and Sanya Richards-Ross won’t be back for another season of RHOA. Of course, Kenya Moore and Porsha were already confirmed to be full-time cast members.

For a while, there had been rumors that Shereé would be back for the sweet 16 season of RHOA. However, fans didn’t know if she’d be a ‘friend of’ or if she’d remain a housewife. People has confirmed the news that, for a third time, she has seemingly gotten the axe. This comes as the network wanted a cast shakeup after multiple seasons that fans have considered dull.

At the time of writing, Shereé has not made a statement about her exit from the show. However, many fans will miss the “bone collector” as she moves on to other things.

In other RHOA news, Bravo has finally settled on and announced a cast for the upcoming season. Besides Kenya, Drew Sidora is the only returning cast member from season 15. Shamea Morton, who has been a ‘friend of’ on multiple seasons, will hold a peach for the first time. The cast also welcomes Brittany EadyKelli Ferrell, and Angela Oakley

Meet Angela, who describes herself as a “finance & real estate mogul.”

Meet Kelli, who calls herself a “restaurant owner” and “author.”

Brittany is also a podcast host, Kelli is a former Food Network star, and Angela is the wife of NBA legend Charles Oakley.

That’s not all as Cynthia Bailey will also be rejoining the cast of RHOA as a ‘friend of.’ This is something many fans have hoped for since she left the series. Not only is Cynthia a cast member who provides balance, but she’s also a person who has delivered several iconic moments over the years. Notably, she was offered a ‘friend of’ role after leaving the show but turned it down. Unlike some former stars from Bravo, Cynthia has remained in good graces with the network and is even friends with ladies from other cities.

It’s unclear when filming will begin for RHOA, but Porsha said over the weekend that it should be this week. However, this doesn’t mean everyone will start at the same time.
