Brendan Schaub predicts he’d beat Mike Tyson in less than 60 seconds: ‘It’s no disrespect’

Brendan Schaub performs standup comedy, Mike Tyson weighs in for his fight with Jake Paul.

Brendan Schaub thinks it’d be a mismatch in his favor if he fought Mike Tyson in 2025.

Jake Paul had to settle for a decision win over eight rounds when he boxed the 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion in November 2024.

Brendan Schaub hasn’t fought since retiring from MMA 11 years ago, but he still believes he’s got what it takes to easily deal with Mike Tyson.

The former UFC heavyweight contender insists he’d win that crossover fight inside 60 seconds.

Brendan Schaub predicts Mike Tyson fight

Schaub was triggered by a fan comment during the latest episode of The Fighter and The Kid podcast.

“I saw some clip of me and Mike Tyson having a disagreement,” he said.

“Somehow it was like, ‘Does Brendan Schaub really think he can beat up Mike Tyson?’

“I’m not trying to be disrespectful, man. I’m trying to be cool, but if you know anything about fighting…

“I’m talking right now, if he walked in here, it wouldn’t last over a minute. It’s so stupid.

“I think because people grew up on him, it’s like, ‘Oh, he’s the scariest man in the world.’ Yes, when he was 19, that guy was a monster. Still not top five [of all time], but he was a monster.

“When it comes to actual fighting-fighting, we just have a different set of skills.

“It’s no disrespect. It’s stupid. I bow down to that guy.”

Fans divided on Brendan Schaub vs. Mike Tyson

A video of Schaub’s thoughts about Tyson triggered an intense debate in the YouTube comment section.

People expressed strong opinions on both sides as they predicted the fantasy matchup.

“I think you’d be surprised,” one fan said. While another added: “My money’s on Mike.”

“The reason it’s so easy to hate on B is because he has no humility. He says ‘no disrespect’ and then continues on to disrespect,” a third person fumed.

“Schaub would choke Mike Tyson out in less than 30 seconds. Haters can say what they want but that’s the reality,” someone else predicted.

“People can’t separate their feelings towards someone to see logic. Brendan would maul Mike, and it wouldn’t be close,” another YouTube user wrote.

“Mike would tune you up, Brendan,” a sixth fan insisted.
