Brittany Cartwright was admittedly shocked when her business partners pulled the plug on her eponymous bar. However, she’s now convinced the move was “a blessing in disguise.”
How to Watch

She explained her position in a recent interview with The Daily Dish, saying her former castmate Tom Schwartz had warned her about owning a bar attached to her name.
“[The partners] sold it out from underneath me without me knowing,” The Valley cast member recalled she shared in her exclusive chat with us. “They kind of like screwed me over a little bit there. But I think it’s a blessing in disguise because Tom Schwartz keeps telling me all the time that having your name on a bar is so hard.”
Tom has owned two businesses that bore his name: the now-defunct Schwartz & Sandy’s and TomTom, the WeHo bar/restaurant he co-owns with Tom Sandoval and Lisa Vanderpump.
“[Tom’s] like, 'I would never put my name on a bar again.' And he kept telling me that even before [Britt's WeHo was announced],” Brittany continued. “So I was like, OK, you know, that sucks. I was very excited about it. I was like grateful for the opportunity. I had already picked out all the wallpaper, all the seat coverings. I mean, literally, everything was ordered and done. So it was all kind of a shock to me.”

Brittany announced Bitt’s WeHo bar during a November 2024 episode of her When Reality Hits podcast. The mother of one said she felt confident in her ability to open the establishment, as she played a big role in launching Jax’s Studio City, a sports bar co-owned by her estranged husband, Jax Taylor.
“You all know we started the bar-restaurant business, and we started off with Jax’s,” she said in the episode. “A lot has changed since we started that. I did a lot to help that place. I put Mamaw’s Beer Cheese on the menu, I did all the flowers, I helped decorate, I showed up when Jax couldn’t be there, I tried my hardest to keep everything going. I love the partners that we have there, and they recently came to me and … Britt’s is coming to WeHo!”
Brittany Cartwright confirms Britt's WeHo is not opening
Fast-forward to April, when Brittany confirmed Britt’s WeHo was not moving forward.
“I had talked about it so much, and I was so excited,” she said in an April 4 broadcast of When Reality Hits. “I feel like it made me look like a liar, and that’s not the case whatsoever. So I am pretty upset about it. They have offered me to do a couple other things, but I’m not sure that I want to.”
What's next for Brittany Cartwright?
While the bar cancellation was disappointing, Brittany is no longer mourning what could’ve been, as she now finds herself booked and blessed.
“I have so many things coming up… just huge brand deals and stuff that are really big and I’m really excited about,” she told The Daily Dish. “I’ve shot a couple of commercials and things that haven’t come out yet that I’ve already done. But, yeah, there’s a lot of things I’m looking forward to. And who knows? Maybe something better will come along.
“You know? Maybe Mamaw’s Beer Cheese will be sold to Walmart or something,” she continued with a laugh. “You know, I don’t know.”
