Brock Lesnar had an amazing experience with Muhammad Ali

During his time in both WWE and the UFC, Brock Lesnar has cemented his status as one of the most terrifying competitors of all time.

Blessed with ferocious strength and top-level wrestling, the American is renowned for destroying his opponents, whether it’s in the ring or cage.

But long before Lesnar ever set foot in a gym, Muhammad Ali had already carved out a legacy that no professional fighter is ever likely to transcend.

Renowned for his incredible movement, and amusing trash talk, the boxing star changed the game, paving the way for charismatic operators to entertain on the mic.

WOW: Dan Hooker is flying out to Spain to see Conor McGregor and check if ‘he’s interested in a fight’

But according to Lesnar, behind the bravado stood a gracious character, who gave him a handshake he’ll never forget.

In an interview with ESPN, he reminisced: “I got to meet [Muhammad] Ali one time. All I remember when I met and shook the man’s hand was, he never talked, at that point the illness had taken over, but I just remember when he extended his hand, he didn’t have to say anything to me.

“It was not a weird vibe; it was such a gracious handshake. I can’t even put a word to it. I felt something powerful from the man. He never spoke a word to me, but I felt presence and power from him.

“One of the greatest. Here’s a guy who’s selling tickets, talking the talk and getting in the ring and walking the walk. It’s big business.”

Mike Tyson rages at Floyd Mayweather for saying he’s greater than Muhammad Ali

Lesnar isn’t the only heavyweight star with a great deal of respect for Ali.

Growing up, Mike Tyson looked up to the sporting legend, even using him as his inspiration to beat Larry Holmes.

Therefore, when Floyd Mayweather insisted he was greater than Ali, ‘Iron Mike’ wasn’t very impressed.

The New Yorker went on a massive rant, slamming the four-weight champion, explaining why he thinks ‘Money’ will never be as good as his hero.
