Browns have one impactful question that will be answered at the beginning of training camp

The 2024 season for the Cleveland Browns will ultimately come down to Deshaun Watson and how good he can be. In his third season with the team, any playoff run is going to ride on whether or not he can live up to the trade that Cleveland made.

Browns have one impactful question that will be answered at the beginning of training camp

Recovering from his shoulder surgery, Watson did not throw consistently during the offseason training program and took every other day off much of the time. Heading into training camp at the end of July, it is an important thing to worry about heading into camp.

Watson being full go for training camp is key for the Browns

Cleveland will begin training camp on July 23 when all veterans arrive in Berea. After that, the team will go to The Greenbrier in West Virginia for a week. When the media is watching, all early eyes will be on No. 4.

Watson being out there and healthy through a full training camp will be key. Another month off will only help Cleveland’s starter and that is what will be between now and training camp firing up.

After playing just 12 games through the last two seasons, any chance to build chemistry with the rest of the team is key for Watson. Getting through a second full training camp and being as prepared as possible for the new season is important.

Watson will need to build a connection with new wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, as well as running backs D’Onta Foreman and Nyheim Hines. Jeudy has a chance to be the No. 2 wide receiver for the Browns and both running backs will get plenty of time with Nick Chubb expexted to be sidelined a bit.

The Browns haven’t come out and said that Watson will be a full go in training camp but with him ramping up more and more he very well could be. Cleveland will likely only play him in one part of a preseason game in August at least, just as they have in the past.
