As the Cleveland Browns continue to tweak the roster in anticipation of free agency and next month's NFL Draft, the team is moving on from one key defensive lineman.

According to multiple reports, the Browns have informed defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson that he'll be released at the start of the new league year on Wednesday and be designated with a post-June 1 release.

Tomlinson's release will save the team almost $6.5 million in salary cap dollars in 2025.

The 31-year-old has been with the Browns for the past two seasons and has been a consistent starter during that time. Last season, he finished the year with three sacks and 18 quarterback hits.

He was drafted by the Giants in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft and started 125 games split between New York, Minnesota and Cleveland with 19 career sacks.

The Browns will need all the cap money they can find after agreeing to a massive deal with $123.5 million in guaranteed money and worth $40 million per year.

They're also looking for a veteran quarterback to bring into the fold after trading Dorian Thompson-Robinson to the Eagles in exchange for Kenny Pickett and a fifth-round pick.
