Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Bucky Irving took the league by storm in his rookie season, rushing for over 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns as he usurped Rachaad White for the starting role.
Now seen as one of the better running backs in football entering Year 2, more is expected of Bucky in 2025, and in truth, the bar that has been set is a high one.
But as far as what Irving's personal goals are for the upcoming season? He isn't interested in that, with a team-first mindset fueling him.
"I'm not a guy that pretty much set goals," Irving said. "I just go out there when my number is called and when I got the ball in my hands, try to help my team win in any fashion."
Given the level of production we saw in his rookie season, another 1,000+ yard, perhaps seven or eight touchdown season would likely be a good return for Bucky, and considering he will be the starter from Week 1 and likely get the majority of the carries, he could expect to have a better season than he did last year.
Of course, it is clear he isn't concerned with what he does from a personal standpoint, instead winning football games, and the Buccaneers are expected to go on a deep playoff run in 2025.
Baker Mayfield and the offense will be a big reason why the Buccaneers make the postseason this year, with Irving and the run game to set the tone for Josh Grizzard's unit.
Irving isn't interested in personal goals; he only wants team success, and if everyone else follows suit, the 2025 season might be a rather successful one for Tampa Bay.
