Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin is off to a fast start in 2024. With six games under his belt, Godwin already has over 500 yards and five touchdowns.
Godwin just torched the New Orleans Saints last week for two touchdowns and 125 yards on 11 receptions. Safe to say he and quarterback Baker Mayfield are starting to click.
Godwin recently joined Judy Battista and Mike Garafolo on The Insiders to talk some Buccaneers football and more so his relationship with Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield.

“[Godwin and Mayfield’s] second year working together. We’ve gone through some highs and some lows in terms of what each other are looking for. Both of us, we’re very smart players. We’re just trying to win. We have a good connection going that goes with a lot of hard work and time put in. I’m excited about where we are, but I know there’s a lot more in store for us.”
The Buccaneers signed a three-year extension in 2022 for $60 million. This is the final year of that deal, making this a “contract year” fir the 28 year-old receiver. Good thing Godwin is off to his best start as a pro. He’s on pace for 14 touchdowns and over 1,400 yards. Not a bad time to have your best start.
