The 2025 NFL Draft is over, but the UDFA signing period has just begun.
It's not held anywhere near in as high regard as the draft and that makes complete sense, but it shouldn't be tossed to the side as something insignificant. Plenty of UDFAs have gone on to have good, even Hall of Fame-worthy, careers in the NFL.
No one is saying the Bucs' latest UDFA signing is going to become a Hall of Famer, but there's a chance he could help do something special: stop the Eagles' infamous Tush Push.
Former Florida Gator Desmond Watson, a 6-foot-5, 464-pound defensive lineman, signed with the Bucs after the draft, bring an out-of-this-world amount of beef to the position group. He, along with veteran stalwart Vita Vea, could certainly stop Jalen Hurts and Co. if they were to line up beside each other and go head-on with the Eagles offensive line.
The Bucs gave him a $20,000 signing bonus on top of $50,000 guaranteed, so there's serious interest, here.
Whether or not anything comes to fruition remains to be seen, but Watson is at least worth a look, at the end of the day. He can still move pretty well for his size and logged 36 reps on the bench press, which is borderline elite for his position.
One thing is for sure: He'll be impossible to miss when the Bucs being their offseason program.
