A classic mythical fight for the ages has long regarded how Mike Tyson would have fared against the King of the Four-Rounders, Butterbean.
During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Butterbean was quizzed on Tyson — specifically why the two never signed a deal to fight each other despite the demand and interest being there for quite some time. As well as slightly peeling back the curtain and explaining why the fight with 'Iron' never materialised, Butterbean also gave his predictions about how he would fare against the heavyweight icon, both back in the day and now.

Mike Tyson placed an insane bet with Jake Paul on the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight in boxing.
Butterbean Claims He Would "Destroy" Mike Tyson
The boxing cult hero also claimed Tyson never had the chin to withstand his power
Although Mike Tyson is one of the greatest and most feared heavyweight boxers of all time, Eric Esch, AKA Butterbean, believes that he would've "destroyed" 'Iron' both back in the day when both men were actively competing, as well as now if they were to fight today. During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Butterbean claimed that after watching Tyson's last fight against Jake Paul, he believes that he would "destroy him" and it "wouldn't even be a close fight."
Shortly after claiming he would "destroy" the former heavyweight world champion if they fought right now, Butterbean went on to speak about why the fight never materialised back in the late 90s, and Esch's explanation is quite controversial.
"I'll be honest, I think because Tyson does not have a chin. Mike cannot take a punch, if you've noticed, he's been knocked out many times. Buster Douglas knocked him out, a guy named Kevin McBride. Funny thing is, I fought a guy that knocked both of them guys out. I knocked him out, Louis Monaco."
When going into some more detail about why their fight didn't happen in the late 90s, Butterbean claimed that when Tyson and his team saw him knock out Louis Monaco, who knocked out both Buster Douglas and Kevin McBride, who both happened to defeat Tyson, they wanted no business in making the fight as they knew he would have too much power.
