The Bachelor season 29 has already succumbed to some of the same curses as previous seasons. For example, almost every woman who received the first impression rose has failed to win the show (Hannah Ann Sluss being the exception, although her engagement ended soon after filming), and Alexe Godin suffered the same fate. However, anything is possible in the world of reality TV. Does Grant have a few more surprises up his sleeve? Can Zoe still win despite her slow start on The Bachelor season 29?
The Bachelor's Zoe McGrady caused a rift with the other contestants early on when she used the first group date to pull Grant aside for some impromptu one-on-one time. While each woman was supposed to attempt a basketball shot, Zoe decided instead to take Grant to the roof of the building, significantly cutting into the rest of the group's time with the lead. She showed no remorse for her actions, and, unfortunately for Zoe, she couldn't parlay that extra time into a full one-on-one date.
Zoe's villain edit subsided when Carolina took over the role. Carolina had already received a one-on-one date, experiencing a private jet flight to Las Vegas. However, Carolina's ingratitude regarding the solo time put a bad taste in the other women's mouths, and it was hard for her to redeem herself. It's possible Zoe hasn't received a one-on-one yet due to her ability to steal time with Grant during other moments. On the other hand, Zoe's early conflicts with the other women could be why Grant seems hesitant about their connection.
While curses are made to be broken, and Zoe could make history as the first winner of The Bachelor to lack a pre-hometowns one-on-one, it's deeply unlikely that she will win at this point. Zoe's lack of one-on-one time with Grant proves their relationship isn't as strong as the other women's. For one, Grant has expressed that he's falling for Litia. At this point, Zoe should be able to see the writing on the wall. While she's had a good run and made an impressive comeback from her villainous moves early on, she probably won't win the season.
