Summer House's Carl Radke on Where He Stands With Lindsay

More than a year after calling off their engagement, the Summer House cast member shared more details about the breakup aftermath and where he now stands with his ex-fiancée. Carl addressed the topic in the January 10 episode of Two Jersey Js when host Jenn Fessler asked how it felt to reunite with Lindsay for Summer House Season 9.

Carl Radke insists he still cares about his ex Lindsay Hubbard

“I was friends with Lindsay for many years before we got together,” Carl explained. “So, we had a foundation of friendship from 2016. I met Lindsay and we were very close as friends and continued to be very close friends. Then, obviously, we started dating. So, I had a lot of time and I still care about her and wish the best for her.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey friend interjected and asked if he thought Lindsay felt the same way toward him.

“No, but that’s why I pray for her, though,” he continued. “That’s how I release everything… by offering grace and praying for her because I really do want the best for her. And that’s how I can go live my life now… ‘Wish you the best,’ and then go focus on what I got to get done.”

Carl teases his and Lindsay's dynamic in Summer House Season 9

A split of Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard

Carl’s Hamptons Housemate Jesse Solomon, who appeared in the episode as a special guest, immediately pointed out that Lindsay rejected Carl’s prayers in the explosive Summer House Season 9 trailer.

“Well, anybody who says that is the person you pray for,” Carl insisted. “I have a sponsor, I work the steps, I talk about emotions and resentments and things that, ultimately, can fester and build up in your body. And it’s important for me to address it. I’m not perfect at all.”

Carl went on to say he ultimately chose to return to Summer House because he wanted to spend time with his “best friends.” He also suggested that he and Lindsay kept things relatively cordial while filming Season 9 (set to premiere February 12).

“We kind of kept it moving. She’s moved on,” he said, referring to Lindsay’s current boyfriend and new life as a mom.

Has Carl started dating since calling off his engagement to Lindsay?

Elsewhere in the interview, Carl confirmed he was living the single life and was in no rush to start a serious relationship.

“I’ve been going on some dates, putting myself back out there, which you’ll see on the new season,” he said before revealing what he’s looking for in a partner. “I’d like to think that I could date someone that has a healthy relationship with alcohol. I still love being social. Intelligence is important to me. I like someone I can hold a good conversation [with]. I like some depth, like I like emotional intelligence where I’ve been through a fair amount of things. I don’t want to trauma dump on someone the first two minutes but I will.”
