Charity Lawson was riding high off her engagement to Dotun Olubeko after Season 20 of The Bachelorette. Her fiance surprised her at the After The Final Rose special by telling her that she was invited to join Season 32 of Dancing With The Stars.
She was paired with Artem Chigvintsev. Charity started off slow but improved and eventually started getting 10s from the judges. Despite her improvement, Charity Lawson only made it to fourth place. The Bachelor Nation star has been open about the negative experience of competing on DWTS. She was the target of many racist attacks from viewers. Charity also said that she was upset by the scoring. Did Carrie Ann Inaba have it out for her?
Charity Lawson Mistreated By DWTS Judge Carrie Ann?
Season 33 of Dancing With The Stars featured two Bachelor Nation alums – Joey Graziadei and Jenn Tran. Despite earning a 10 from the judges for her contemporary dance, Jenn Tran was eliminated in the latest episode.
Angry viewers have singled out Carrie Ann’s poor scoring as a huge problem this season. Some even think the network should replace her as judge. She’s been a judge on DWTS since the beginning in 2005. Pro dancer Brandon Armstrong dropped a comment on a social media post saying it was “crazy” that Carrie Ann didn’t score his partner, Chandler Kinney, with a 10 for her performance.
One Bachelor Nation fan replied to “remember” what Carrie Ann did to Charity Lawson with low scores. “I feel like history is repeating itself,” the fan wrote. The former Bachelorette hopped on the thread with an unexpected response. “The flashbacks are real,” Charity replied.
She didn’t elaborate on what she meant, but many Bachelor Nation fans thought she was shading how Carrie Ann scored her during her time on DWTS.
One fan took to Reddit to declare that Carrie Ann treated Charity the same way as Chandler and Jenn. Another fan replied, “IIRC Carrie Ann wanted Charity to open up more. When she did, Carrie Ann would still say something was missing.”
