The Kansas City Chiefs advanced to 5-0 when they defeated the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.

It was an especially strong night for the Chiefs' offensive weapons after they had been the main topic of discussion surrounding the team leading up to the game.

After many had written off Travis Kelce due to his slow start to the season, he proved many wrong on Monday. Kelce finished the game with nine receptions for 70 yards. One of his biggest highlights came in the second quarter on a 3rd-and-22 from midfield.

When it seemed like a first down was almost unreachable, Kelce made the bold decision after a catch to lateral the ball back to running back Samaje Perine, who then had open field ahead of him and almost converted the play.

After the win, Patrick Mahomes reacted to the wild play and gave some credit to Kelce.

"I'm shaking my head because I told him before the play, I said, 'I'm gonna throw it to you so we can get in field goal range,' and he underhand shoveled it across the entire field," said Mahomes. "That's Travis, man. He's a special player, and as long as he does it and it works, man, no one's going to say anything."

Kelce has now combined for 16 catches and 159 yards in the last two games, which is certainly a return to form for the All-Pro after he had just 69 yards in the first three games.
