Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes still has the Christmas Day loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on his

Last season, the Las Vegas Raiders finally got another win over the Kansas City Chiefs. In the grand scheme of things, it didn't really matter too much for the 2023 season, as the Chiefs still went on to win their second straight Super Bowl and actually win it inside the Raiders home. So, that had to sting a bit.

But it did do something for the future. After both games last year, this rivalry may be officially back. In game one at home for the Raiders, they went up 14-0, and it was looking like LV would run away with it. Obviously, that's not how it ended up, but it was a positive for sure.

Then, there was the Christmas Day game, which I'm sure every single Raiders fan absolutely loved. They beat up the Chiefs and were just the more physical team. That game saw the Chiefs play one of their worst games under Andy Reid, with Patrick Mahomes as the quarterback, who also struggled really badly.

The 2024 schedule was recently released, and, as Raiders fans also love, the Chiefs do not have it easy. They have games every day except Tuesday, and they play three games in a 10-day span at one point. When Mahomes was recently asked if he had any specific game circled on their calendar, he had the perfect response that should ignite Raiders fans.

"I'm going to try to be better on Christmas (laughter) because last Christmas was not great," Mahomes said during Chiefs OTAs last week.

You don't want to say the game is haunting him because he is a three-time Super Bowl champion and won it last year. However, he certainly would like to have that one back. The Raiders beat him down, and since then, Antonio Pierce has said they have the recipe to beat Mahomes and called them the Mahomes Rules, referencing Michael Jordan.

Either way, it's safe to say that game is still on his mind. While they do not play one another on Christmas Day this year, they do play each other in a primetime game, and the Raiders will hope to do the same thing then.
