Chiefs Star Chris Jones Issues 3-Word Message in Response to All-Pro Announcement

The Kansas City Chiefs enjoyed another strong regular season campaign, as they coasted to a 15-2 record, which is good for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. While they weren't as collectively dominant as we've seen them be in the past, they still had some great individual performances, with defensive tackle Chris Jones leading the way.

Chiefs Star Chris Jones Issues 3-Word Message in Response to All-Pro Announcement

Jones has emerged as one of the most dominant defenders in the NFL, and he put together another strong season for the Chiefs. Even though his numbers weren't what we've been accustomed to seeing from him, Jones racked up five sacks, nine tackles for a loss, and 20 quarterback hits despite being double teamed on nearly every snap.

Even though he missed two games too, it wasn't enough to prevent Jones from earning his third straight First-Team All-Pro selection. After the announcement sharing the news came out, Jones took to social media to send a three-word message to his fans.

"God is good!" Jones said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in response to his latest All-Pro selection.

While Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are generally viewed as the most important pieces to the Chiefs success, Jones may rival them on the defensive side of the ball. Jones is an every down defensive tackle who can rush the passer and clog run lanes, commanding the attention of the opposing offensive line on every single play.

This season, the numbers don't show Jones' massive impact as much as they did in past years. When you consider that seven of Jones' teammates had at least two sacks, though, it shows just how dangerous he is. With all the attention on Jones, the rest of the defense was able to sack the quarterback or rack up tackles in the backfield.

It's great to see Jones get rewarded for his strong individual play again, but you can bet this is not his top goal. That would be winning his third straight Super Bowl with Kansas City, and they will enjoy their week off in the Wild Card round as they wait to see who their Divisional Round opponent ends up being.
