The Kansas City Chiefs designated wide receiver Skyy Moore to return from injured reserve earlier this week. The 24-year-old pass-catcher has not played since the Chiefs' Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers because of an abdominal injury.
Since returning, Moore has participated in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. On Kansas City's injury report, which is an estimate since the big game is next week, Moore was listed as doubtful to play in Super Bowl LIX against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Safety Bryan Cook (quad), quarterback Patrick Mahomes (ankle), offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (knee) and cornerback Jaylen Watson (ankle) were also listed on the injury report, but all were full practice participants on Friday. None except Moore have a game injury status listed.
Moore didn't have a good 2024 season due to injuries. He had no stats and only three targets. Last year, in 14 games, he caught 21 receptions for 244 yards and one touchdown.
A 2022 second-round pick out of Western Michigan, Moore began this season as the Chiefs' No. 5 receiver behind Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy, Justin Watson and JuJu Smith-Schuster based on his Week 1 usage. In Week 7, Moore saw his biggest increase in playing time, playing 47% of snaps, third-most among receivers.
Kansas City's wide receiver group is led by Worthy, Marquise Brown, Smith-Schuster, DeAndre Hopkins, Watson and Nikko Remigio based on playing time the last two weeks.
Moore was activated from injured reserve with a knee injury before Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers. He did not play in the game.
