Craig Conover and Austen Kroll's new venture is officially a go, as the Southern Charm cast members stated in a July 29 Instagram post that they're “proud” to announce their shared business role in downtown Charleston’s newest wedding and event venue, The Waverly.

The post featured a video tour of the luxurious, brightly lit event space narrated by both Craig and Austen. The latter revealed that they've been "quietly involved behind the scenes” since May, with Craig adding, "After a successful partnership on By the Way, it only made sense to join forces again."
“This time, bringing that same energy and vision to Charleston’s event scene,” Austen continued.
The exciting announcement comes less than a week after Craig first teased the business news.

According to The Waverley’s brochure, the venue offers “an unparalleled setting,” nestled in the heart of the city. Boasting a 3,000 square-foot reception hall and a meticulously landscaped garden, “The Waverly blends classic Southern charm with modern elegance, creating the perfect backdrop for any celebration,” the venue’s website adds.
Craig and Austen, in their announcement, took viewers into one stunning room after another, highlighting the building’s awe-inspiring arched halls, chandeliers, coffered ceilings, and natural lighting. Several expansive outdoor areas provided a mix of sunshine and shade, from a geometrical tile-and-grass space lined with palm trees to a veranda cooled by overhead fans.
"[The Waverly] is slightly more affordable than a lot of the places down here," Craig told Interview magazine on July 23. "It’s an all-in-one location, so you can do your ceremony, your reception, and your afterparty there."
In addition to opening the perfect place to say “I do,” the entrepreneurs teased in their announcement video that they're working on “a few other projects you may or may not catch on camera.”
Their Instagram post's caption expressed a similar sentiment, reading, "Big things keep happening ... Follow along, because this is just the beginning of our happily ever after.”

The Waverly is, of course, not Craig and Austen's first professional collaboration. Over the years, they've joined forces on the Pillows and Beer podcast; became investors in the NYC restaurant Carriage House; and opened the aforementioned Charleston restaurant, By the Way.
The two also stay busy with their own businesses, as Craig launched Sewing Down South in 2018, and Austen founded Trop Hop Beers shortly after.
