Craig Conover Breaks Silence on Dating Life After Paige DeSorbo Split

Craig Conover Breaks His Silence After “Very Unexpected” Breakup With Paige DeSorbo: “I'm Still Processing Everything”

Craig Conover is getting real about his love life. The “Southern Charm” star recently broke his silence on the emotional fallout from his breakup with “Summer House’s” Paige DeSorbo—and what it’s been like trying to date again.

In a refreshingly honest conversation, Conover shared what really happened with a recent flame, why he avoids traditional dinner dates, and how season 11 of “Southern Charm” will show a different side of him.

Craig Conover Talks Post-Paige Dating and Why He’s Still Healing

Six months after his split from DeSorbo, Conover, 37, sat down on “The Toast” and gave fans a rare glimpse into how he’s handling life post-breakup.

“There’s no guidebook for this,” Conover said on a recent episode. “I don’t have any hard rules. I don’t have any hard lines.”

While many assumed he had quickly moved on, Conover revealed he was seeing someone casually—someone fans believe may have been Natalie Buffett—but said it ended because he wasn’t emotionally ready.

“I was seeing a really nice girl—she will be someone’s perfect person. I just wasn’t ready to date,” he admitted. “She’s just a wonderful person, but I really was like, ‘I have some healing to do. I have to go find myself again.’”

Conover also clarified a comment he made on “Watch What Happens Live” earlier this year, when host Andy Cohen asked if he was dating.

“When Andy asked if I was dating, I was just like, I don’t ever talk to more than one person at a time,” Conover explained. “It was my way of saying I’m not just out there dating a whole bunch of people. And then the tabloids, like, ran from that.”

He said he never publicly named the woman in question, wanting to protect her privacy. “She didn’t sign up for that,” he said.

When it comes to dating now, Conover prefers a laid-back approach. “I’m actually pretty shy when it comes to talking to someone blindly,” he shared. “I’d rather go to the bar or do an activity. I’m a big fan of activity dates.”

Season 11 of ‘Southern Charm’ Will Show Craig’s Post-Paige Life

Conover also teased what’s ahead on season 11 of “Southern Charm,” which will feature his life in the aftermath of the breakup.

“You get to see, like, the next chapter of my life,” he said. “Objectively, when you’re not the 37-year-old, you’re like, you have your whole life in front of you. But, as the 37-year-old, I think it’s like, ‘Alright, what are we doing here?’”

He added, “I think you just gotta be kind to yourself and patient… I know that it will all work out one day, but I can’t visualize it yet.”

Conover also revisited an awkward moment during his buddy Kristin Cavallari’s live podcast, where a question about Paige blindsided him after being promised it wouldn’t come up.

“Kristin and I are really close friends… [and] she was like, ‘Hey, will you come do my podcast?’ And I was like, ‘Sure, I just don’t want to talk about Paige,’” he recalled. “But then the first question was about Paige.”

Caught off guard, Conover admitted, “I felt like I was going to die on stage. I hadn’t talked about the breakup at all and only did the show because they said they wouldn’t ask me about Paige… and then it looks like I went there to talk about the breakup.”
