Craig Conover is done being nice.
The “Southern Charm” star spoke at length about his split from Paige DeSorbo for the first time on Thursday’s episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”
“Paige lied on her podcast and said that the breakup was mutual,” he claimed, referring to DeSorbo announcing their breakup on her “Giggly Squad” podcast in December.
“She said it was mutual –– which it wasn’t.”
Conover, 36, reiterated that he was “shocked” when DeSorbo, 32, decided to end their three-year relationship because they were planning their “future together.”
“We didn’t want different things –– she just wanted other people, and that’s fine,” he quipped. “Like, she didn’t want those things with me anymore, and, like, I’m not mad at her for that, but I don’t like this, ‘Love isn’t enough thing,’ because, you’ll make it work.”
The Sewing Down South founder further claimed that he had “no way of knowing” that DeSorbo was having doubts about their relationship because they had just celebrated Thanksgiving with her family.
“Two weeks prior, she asked me to plan us a trip to Europe for New Years’,” he claimed. “She also talked about our wedding in her mom’s kitchen. She made me promise we would never break up weekly.”
When Cohen asked if Conover was “blindsided” by the breakup, Conover replied, “That’s the definition of what happened.”
“Out of nowhere, she called me and broke up with me after three years,” he said.
Conover also elaborated on the timeline of their split and claimed that DeSorbo called him after Thanksgiving where she first mentioned the idea of breaking up.
However, he allegedly didn’t fully realize the gravitas of the situation until they talked in person a few days later and officially split in early December.
Meanwhile, DeSorbo claimed on Monday’s episode of “Giggly Squad” that she and Conover broke up over Thanksgiving, and she gave him a heads-up that she would announce the split a month later.
DeSorbo also vehemently denied ever “physically” or “emotionally” cheating on Conover after rumors quickly began spreading.
Conover didn’t dispel the speculation at the time and doubled down on that decision during “WWHL,” telling Cohen, “I don’t want to be involved.”
“I got broken up with. I’m the ex-boyfriend moving on with my life,” he said.
“I’m sorry that I’m not reading Reddit every day and getting on there and defending her. I never said [she] cheated, so I’m not a part of [that].”
