TEEN Mom star Ryan Edwards has skipped out on a crucial court hearing regarding getting joint custody of his and his estranged wife Mackenzie's two kids, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.
Ryan, 36, recently filed court documents requesting he get 50/50 custody of 5-year-old Jagger and 4-year-old Stella.
A clerk from the Hamilton County General Sessions Court confirmed to The U.S. Sun that a hearing took place this morning and was continued to July 22.
"His lawyer was there, but he wasn't," a source exclusively revealed to The U.S. Sun. "He wasted the court's time. There is going to be another hearing at the end of July."
Ryan's estranged wife Mackenzie, 27, currently has full custody of the children.
"Any visitation is [Mackenzie] being nice. He lost in the fact that he didn’t show up for something he wanted," the insider added.
Ryan initially asked the court to lay out a temporary parenting plan, forcing Mackenzie to allow him to see their children, whom the TV star claimed he'd been visiting at his mother's house until Mackenzie suddenly stopped bringing them.
'DOESN'T SHOW UP'
However, the source told The U.S. Sun that Ryan allegedly "doesn't show up" for these visits often and claimed when he does see them, "it's for 10 minutes, and he leaves."
"The max Ryan can get is supervised at a center," the insider alleged.
A lawyer for Ryan has not responded to The U.S. Sun's request for comment.
Court documents obtained by The U.S. Sun stated that Ryan is asking to be "designated the primary residential parent" and "that child support be assigned from [Mackenzie's] income."
They also stated that neither Ryan nor Mackenzie can relocate the children out of state or more than 50 miles away from their marital home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, without the permission of the other party or the court.

The former couple also must communicate about and share their finances and insurance plans until their divorce is finalized.
Ryan is also a father to a 15-year-old son, Bentley, with his ex and fellow Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star, Maci Bookout, 32, while Mackenzie has a 10-year-old son, Hudson, from a previous relationship.
The estranged pair have had a contentious relationship for some time now as they've dealt with Ryan's legal problems and substance abuse issues.
Ryan was originally sentenced to 11 months and 29 days in Silverdale Detention Center in April 2023 for the possession of a controlled substance, simple possession and driving under the influence charges and has since appeared to be spending much of his time with his girlfriend, Amanda Conner, 33.
He lost in the fact that he didn’t show up for something he wanted.

Amanda accompanied Ryan to court in April 2024 for his charges, where the judge praised the TV personality for cleaning up his act and maintaining one year of sobriety, as per previous reports from The U.S. Sun.
Photos captured the pair seemingly in good spirits as they smiled while walking through the courthouse.
Amanda supported her boyfriend alongside his mother and aunt.
She has also been seen with Ryan, his ex, Maci, and Maci's husband, Taylor McKinney, 35, whom the Teen Mom OG alum gets along with.
NASTY SPLIT
Meanwhile, Ryan's divorce battle with Mackenzie rages on.
The mom of three initially filed for divorce in February 2023, which they tried to resolve in mediation a year later, The U.S. Sun exclusively reported.
Court documents revealed that they were "unable to settle the case," and it was dismissed because there were 270 days without any new filings.
Ryan filed for divorce in a separate case in March 2024.
