Being vulnerable.
Bachelor Nation fell in love with Daisy Kent as she looked for love with Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor.”
While on the show, Daisy opened up about her difficult medical history and shared with Joey that she became extremely ill from Lyme disease, which led her to eventually losing her hearing.
Thankfully, she was able to receive a special treatment in Germany that got her feeling better and recently was able to get a cochlear implant for her hearing loss.
And this week, Daisy opened up online about her experience with hearing loss and the anxiety she faces in certain situations because of it.
Daisy recently attended the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards with fellow Bachelor Nation stars Christina Mandrell and Victoria Fuller and shared a clip from walking the blue carpet.
The video shows Daisy smiling for a line of photographers and following their directions shouted out to her for different poses.
At one point, Daisy starts to turn and walk away when she quickly jumps back into her spot to pose some more after mishearing one of the photographers.
Alongside the video, the Bachelor Nation star wrote, “Me after realizing someone said left not right!”
Daisy opened up and shared, “I like how real this video is to me, because it shows how I don’t always hear what someone is saying. Especially when there’s a lot of people talking to me and cameras clicking / extra noise / cameras blocking faces.”
She went on to say, “In this moment as fun as it was I was experiencing a lot of anxiety and a little bit of embarrassment (which I shouldn't but is something I'm working on still feeling confident with). Just a reminder we all have something.”
Fans appreciated Daisy’s video and vulnerability in sharing how she felt in that situation, and one person commented, “I admire you for your realness.”
We couldn’t agree more.
We appreciate Daisy for being so candid and sharing different parts of her hearing loss experience.
We know that her continuing to share her story and be so open about her journey will help so many others.
