Denver Broncos owner is about to start a new phase of his life that has all eyes on him

A few years ago the Denver Broncos went under new ownership. The Walton-Penner ownership group bought the team, and they have not been shy about spending money since they have been on board. They have built a new video board, added new grass to the field at least twice a year, and done a ton of other things such as spending money in free agency.

But, they are not the only owners of the team. Lewis Hamilton, the greatest F1, or Formula One, driver to ever live is also an owner of the team. Now, he's a minority owner, but he's an owner nonetheless. And he's about to start a new phase of his life, and everyone's eyes are on him.

Lewis Hamilton's F1 Career

Lewis Hamilton's career in Formula 1 is among the most illustrious in the sport's history. He started his F1 journey in 2007 with McLaren, where he finished his debut season third in the championship standings with four wins. The defining moment of Hamilton's early career came in 2008 when he dramatically clinched his first World Championship. His success continued to soar after joining Mercedes in 2013.

With Mercedes, he added six more championships to his tally in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, matching Michael Schumacher's record for the most titles. His 2020 season was especially memorable, winning his seventh championship with an 11th race victory, setting a new benchmark for the season. Beyond his on-track success, Hamilton has been a significant figure off the track as well.

He's known for advocating for diversity in motorsport, speaking out against racism, and promoting environmental sustainability. His achievements include over 100 Grand Prix wins, numerous pole positions, and many fastest laps, cementing his status as one of F1's all-time greats, and in many's opinion, the greatest race car driver ever, just another reason the Broncos were so stoked to have him on.

Lewis Hamilton joins Ferrari

If you follow any sort of motorsport, you know that Ferrari in F1 is the pinnacle of motorsports. That's the end all be all. That's the one job that every racer wants before they die. After a long career with Mercedes, Hamilton decided to move on to Ferrari when a seat opened up at the same time as his contract ended.

And, with him being the biggest face of F1, and maybe the biggest face in all of racing, the Ferrari-Hamilton pairing was a no-brainer for both sides. He made the decision before the first race of the 2024 season started, so he had to drive the entire season with everyone knowing it would be his last with the Silver Arrows.

Now, on January 20, 2025, Hamilton starts his first day as a Ferrari F1 driver.

Hamilton showed up at Maranello, Italy, Ferrari's headquarters, on Monday, where he met the entire staff and took some nice photos. Hamilton is finally in Ferrari red, and hopefully, that comes with some big-time race wins in 2025. No matter what, we know that Broncos Country, the ones that do follow F1, will be cheering him on.
