A season ago, the Denver Broncos were one of the better teams in the NFL because of what their defense did.
If the Broncos continue to be that type of team, the defense has to continue to impress.
With Sean Payton as the head coach, everybody should expect that to be the case.
The Broncos understand that if they want to continue being the team they need to be in 2025, it's all going to start on that side of the football.
That doesn't mean the Broncos won't add on the offensive side, but adding another few defensive guys should be part of their plans.
In a recent prediction from Lou Scataglia of Predominantly Orange, he predicted the Broncos to do just that in the form of Seattle Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones IV.
"I have a feeling the Denver Broncos are going to be throwing a handsome free agency contract to free agent inside linebacker Ernest Jones IV. He's one of the top ILB free agents on the market and a very solid player at the position," Scataglia wrote.
Jones is an intriguing player who has shown impressive signs throughout his career.
He was a Super Bowl champion with the Los Angeles Rams back in 2021, his rookie campaign.
Jones went in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft and has been a consistent player since.
During his young career, he's started in 48 of 63 games, posting 458 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, and 13 quarterback hits.
