Dancing With the Stars” judge Derek Hough has reached out to Spencer Pratt, asking if he’d consider joining the show. While Hough isn’t the casting director, he seemed to suggest that Pratt and his wife, Heidi Montag, would be a good fit for the new season.
“Not sure if you’re into it, but I think you both would be great on DWTS’s next season. Just sayin,” Hough commented on one of Pratt’s TikTok videos.
Hough’s comment came just days after Pratt and Montag shared that they lost their home and all of their belongings in the California wildfires. The couple has been sharing updates on social media, especially on TikTok, and has been trying to monetize their posts in an effort to make some money to help them rebuild.
Many Fans Would Love to See Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt Compete for a Mirrorball
Hundreds of comments amassed on the post, with fans hoping that Pratt saw Hough’s message.
“This!!! Make it happen for them Derek, please please! @Spencer Pratt don’t miss this comment!!!!” one person wrote.
“This would be phenomenal!!!” someone else added.
“Derek Hough has entered the chat!!!” a third comment read.
“Spencer would do this right! It would show a side of him most can’t discern, as has been the case lol. I want Spencer,” a fourth TikTok user said.
Spencer and Montag rose to fame on MTV’s “The Hills,” which aired from 2007 through 2010. They’ve done a few other reality television shows — they were both on “Celebrity Big Brother” in the UK — so DWTS would likely be a good fit.
The two wouldn’t be the first from “The Hills” to compete for a Mirrorball Trophy, either. Their former MTV co-star, Kristin Cavallari, was on season 13.
Fans Have Rallied to Help Spencer Pratt & Heidi Montag
Many people have been showing Montag and Pratt support after they tragically lost everything in the California wildfires. Fans have rallied to help the couple in any way they can — and it’s working.
One of the things that fans have done is stream and purchase Montag’s old music. In fact, Montag has seen her name at the top of the charts this week.
“Thank you so much to everyone. No. 1 on iTunes chart, oh my gosh. Thank you for the overwhelming love and support of my music and really rallying behind us in this devastating time and making it such a blessing,” Montag wrote on her Instagram Stories on January 11.
“Thank you for helping support us, helping build us back up, helping to encourage us, give us that hope and faith and excitement in such a dark, dark time. No. 1, ahhh! Oh my gosh, I can’t believe it. And it’s the 15th anniversary of Superficial. So, the timing is just crazy. It’s so crazy, thank you,” she added.
Plenty of celebs have been helping, too, by sharing videos of themselves dancing to Montag’s music on TikTok. Some of these people include Diplo and “The Hills” star Whitney Port.
