Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs have both been main cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey since season 8. The ladies have spent around six years on screen together and recently appeared on an episode of Sherri as a duo. But, this past season certainly wasn’t smooth sailing for them.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is full of surprises this season. Speaking of season 14 on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Melissa Gorga said she was “most surprised” that “Jackie and Margaret are no longer friends – not just not friends, they’re like enemies.” And, it looks like it’s not only Jackie who Marg had a fall-out with.
Dolores Catania and Margaret Josephs’ ‘biggest fight’
Speaking on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live this May, Dolores Catania reveals she and Margaret Josephs got into the “biggest fight ever” during The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14.
Jeff joked he was “going to do what Margaret Josephs did where I’m gonna have a meeting at my house the night before…”
Dolores added: “Bring the manila envelopes… That’s the biggest fight me and Margaret ever got in. You’ve got to stay tuned. You’ll see. Stay tuned. It’s insane.”
Jeff expressed how he’d “heard” about a showdown between the pair, and wasn’t happy about it: “I was like, ‘No, they cannot’, I love you guys together. I love that you’re friends.”
Thankfully, the ladies are back on good terms now. Dolores said: No, no, we’re good… You’re going to probably s**t your pants when you see it, but I mean it was so intense and then she brought me down. We calmed down. We spoke and we were fine. That’s what friends do. When you care about somebody…
“…If you want something to work, then you work it out and that’s just no other way.”
Dolores ‘talks to both camps’
During the Jeff Lewis Live interview, another host on the show, Shane Douglas, said to Dolores: “You’re in a tough spot because you’re one of the only ones who’s able to successfully talk to both camps.”
Jeff chimed in: “I don’t know if it’s successful though because I think it creates resentment from both sides.”
Dolores then said it’s something her cast mates “have to get over.”
She added: “You know what? I could sleep at night knowing that I have never turned on anybody and I’ve been a good friend to everyone, so if they don’t like it, just tell me to my face. Don’t stab me in my back and speak to me about it and we can gracefully part as friends, and you can never talk to me again and I’m okay with that.”
Dolores’ ability to remain friends with everyone was also talked about on WWHL with Melissa Gorga. Andy asked her: “Are you surprised that Dolores is able to be Switzerland to everybody?”
She said of her co-star: “I don’t know how she gets away with it. I’m going to be the first one to say it… I love Dolores… she gets away with murder. I think that we all truly love her and she’s very good at hearing everyone’s side without totally taking a side, she’s mastered it.”
