Dorit Kemsley blasted Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais‘ friendship after the finale episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Tuesday night.
After she and Erika Jayne, 53, were accused of ambushing Sutton, 53, over her treatment of the cast during their group trip to St. Lucia, Dorit, 48, spoke out against the way Sutton gains friends, spotlighting her efforts to make Garcelle, 58, like her after they got off on the wrong foot amid season 10. Plus, Jennifer Tilly, 66, and Garcelle looked back on the supposedly pre-planned attack on their co-star.
“Sutton, she wants to buy her friendships,” Dorit began on the March 25 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.
According to Dorit, while Sutton and Garcelle joined the cast at the same time, that didn’t bond them during their debut season.
“Garcelle really did not like Sutton at all, at all, and she would kind of poke at her,” she recalled. “Sutton rubbed [Garcelle] the wrong way, and Sutton wasn’t having that. She wanted Garcelle’s affection.”
After Garcelle invited Sutton to a fundraiser for Haiti, Dorit pointed to the donation their castmate made to her cause as she noted the way their friendship started to bloom.
“Sutton came and bought a $25,000 table, and then Garcelle was at Sutton’s for New Year’s Eve not long after, and they became friends,” she shared. “I think Sutton counts on her wallet to get what she wants rather than using charm, a heart, compassion, care, you know, doing things that would earn a real [relationship].”
Then, after admitting that when Sutton “has to” be genuine and caring, “she will,” Dorit signaled her co-star’s deflections in St. Lucia.
“B*tch, if you can dish it, you better f*king be able to take it,” Dorit declared. “Don’t start with the… just this insane reaction, the storming out, the not showing up, everything, every kind of deflection possible. I’m tired of it.”
Elsewhere, Jennifer looked back on Dorit and Erika’s spat with Sutton, who Erika said poses as a friend but works as an enemy, describing the moment as “preplanned” and “orchestrated.”
“It seemed almost like an ambush,” she admitted.
“And something that was also pre-talked about,” Garcelle replied.
But Erika defended herself and Dorit.
“[It was] not a coordinated attack, and I’m offended by that,” she stated. “No, we didn’t [preplan]. And I don’t need to recruit anybody. But in the sense of sisterhood, we should be able to bring everything to the group. So I was just bringing it to the group.”
“Don’t look at me crazy,” she continued. “Nobody coordinated anything, and that’s not a good thing to accuse us of.”
Erika went on to note that Sutton and Garcelle had been “in lockstep for several years,” and she suspected Jennifer had become a part of their alliance.
“Garcelle’s a very loyal friend, and I get all that, but sometimes when your friend is not being their best, you can say, ‘Hey, I see it differently.’ I didn’t like the Jennifer Tilly, she feels like… Girl, don’t you know? We’re not doing that here. It’s not some big conspiracy. Please don’t do that. And I like Jennifer, but don’t do that.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 reunion begins airing next Tuesday, April 1, at 8/7c on Bravo.
