DWTS Announces New Season 34 Contestant

Season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars” will not air until the fall, but ABC just gave fans their second confirmed celebrity. The announcement was made on May 22 via “Good Morning America.”

As some “Dancing with the Stars” fans speculated, influencer Alix Earle will join Robert Irwin on season 34.

After a bit of teasing, “Good Morning America” officially announced that Earle will be hitting the dance floor as a “Dancing with the Stars” contestant in the fall.

Earle, 24, gained a large following on TikTok and now has over 7.5 million fans who regularly check out her “Get Ready With Me” videos and the rest of her content.

She is dating NFL player Braxton Berrios, who plays for the Houston Texans. Earle confirmed the rumors of the pair’s romance during a live appearance on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast in November 2023.

Since going viral on TikTok, Earle has expanded her social media presence to include 4.3 million followers on Instagram and 185,000 subscribers on YouTube.

In March, word emerged that Earle’s “Hot Mess” podcast was shelved, after seemingly being dropped by Cooper’s Unwell Network.

More recently, Earle was featured in the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Before that, she was the “first-ever digital cover star” for the media outlet in June 2024.

Some DWTS Fans Had a Hunch Earle Would Be the Next Contestant Announced

A couple of days before the official announcement, speculation about Earle being the next official contestant started to spread. A supposed insider on the show’s Reddit sub teased that the announcement involved a blonde influencer and model. Fairly quickly, someone guessed Earle.

Although several other names were tossed around online among fans, many kept coming back to the possibility of Earle. On May 21, the Redditor who originally gave the teaser commented on a thread about the idea.

“Insider here🙋‍♀️ I guarantee 💯 that Alix is being announced tomorrow.  I didn’t want to give [the] name right away…wanted people to guess female, blonde influencer.”

In another comment on an earlier thread, the same poster wrote, “Haha…it’ll be Alix.”

“Dancing with the Stars” fans are already keeping an eye on other rumored potential contestants. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have received a lot of buzz over potentially joining the show. Another married couple, Taylor and Tay Lautner, have also been a popular guess among fans.. Dannielynn Birkhead’s name has popped up as fans speculate about season 34 contestants as well.

Many fans are convinced that one of the stars of “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” will join season 34, too. Quite a few expected one of those cast members to be announced on the May 22 “Good Morning America” show. That wasn’t the case, but there certainly could be an announcement along those lines soon.

Season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars” will debut in the fall. However, ABC has not announced a specific date yet.
