The ex-wife of a previous “Dancing with the Stars” champion is dating again and sharing the news with the world. Teyana Taylor, Iman Shumpert’s ex-wife, gave fans plenty to talk about when she hit the Oscars with a handsome date.

According to The Jasmine Brand, Season 30 DWTS champ Shumpert and his now ex-wife Taylor finalized their divorce in June 2024.
On March 3, Taylor attended the Oscars with her new beau and revealed the relationship via her Instagram page.
Teyana Taylor Attended the Oscars With Aaron Pierre
The photos Taylor posted on Instagram showed her dressed to the nines. “Oscar night in black & white, no grey area,” she wrote in the caption. She posed with actor Aaron Pierre, who has had roles in projects such as “Mufasa,” “The Underground Railroad,” “Rebel Ridge,” and “Genius.”
Taylor did not tag Pierre in her post. However, plenty of fans and followers knew who he was.
In addition, Pierre posted the photos on his Instagram page the same day. He did he include a caption of any kind, although he did tag Taylor.
According to Essence on March 4, there had been signs that a romance was blossoming between Taylor and Pierre. The two attended the American Black Film Festival Honors event together in February, where they were photographed sitting together.
The pair also attended the Oscars afterparty thrown by Vanity Fair.
Fans Are Cheering Taylor on in Her New Relationship
In November 2023, TMZ reported that Taylor had quietly filed for divorce from Shumpert in January 2023. The couple did not announce their separation publicly until September 2023, TMZ noted.
Her apparent romance with Pierre is her first public relationship debut since her split from Shumpert.
The matching Instagram posts prompted a big reaction from Taylor and Pierre’s followers.
