Is Dancing With The Stars thinking about replacing Carrie Ann Inaba as a judge?
According to new reports, that’s a major possibility, especially after this year’s Halloween episode. But what exactly happened to set viewers and execs off? And who could replace the long-running judge?
Insiders Report Carrie Ann Inaba’s Unhinged Behavior Is Causing Problems
Carrie Ann Inaba has been part of Dancing With The Stars since Season 1. Sadly, nothing lasts forever. Len Goodman announced his retirement during Season 31. And plenty think it’s time for Carrie Ann to do the same.
“Carrie Ann will always be part of the DWTS family but as with any family, dynamics shift and things change. She is very much beloved on set but she doesn’t have her place quite like she used to. She doesn’t fit in as well as she once did,” an insider allegedly told The Sun.
“That’s not to say she’s doing a bad job necessarily but again, she just doesn’t fit in with the show or crew like she once did,” the source continued. “It’s led to many awkward moments on set, some captured by the cameras.”
After the Halloween episode, many fans wrote online that something seemed wrong with Carrie Ann. She even jumped on top of the table while critiquing Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold, which seemed incredibly bizarre.
Will Mark Ballas Ultimately Take Her Spot?
DWTS has seen a wide range of pro dancers over the years. If the execs do ultimately replace Carrie Ann Inaba, any number of people would want her seat.
”Her time seems to be up, I think it’s only a matter time before the show pulls the trigger and brings in someone who the audience is excited about,” the insider reportedly told The Sun. “Bruno and Derek love Carrie Ann but they haven’t been on the same page as her all season. It’s been frustrating for them to try to play off her unpredictable behavior.”
The source went on to note that Mark Ballas’ name gets tossed around a lot when talks about a replacement come up. DWTS fans overwhelmingly loved Mark’s presence behind the judges’ table on Dedication Night. He also has great chemistry with Derek Hough, as the two are best friends in real life.
What do you make of the situation? Should Dancing With The Stars replace Carrie Ann Inaba? If so, who would you like to see take her spot? Leave your own thoughts and ideas in the comments.
Keep in mind there won’t be a new episode of Season 33 this Tuesday due to the Presidential Election. Catch the next episode at 8 PM Eastern time on November 12 on ABC.
