DWTS Fans Feel Excited About The Talent On Season 33

After Oscars Night concluded, many DWTS fans quickly realized the competition is wildly fierce this year. The second week just wrapped up, but there are several contestants gunning for the top of the leaderboard this year.

From Bachelor Nation to Olympic gymnasts, there are so many talented competitors showing off their skills in the ballroom. At this point in the competition, it’s far too early to guess who will win the Mirrorball Trophy.

Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold continue to be a fan favorite and earned glowing comments from judges, even if they didn’t quite earn the highest score. The pair earned a 22/30 for their Paso Doble to the main theme from Superman.

The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson were hot on their heels and also received a 22/30. They performed the Rumba to Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow.” Achieving strong chemistry can be quite challenging, so Jenna asked her husband Val Chmerkovskiy to step in and give Joey some pointers.

Despite NBA star Dwight Howard’s tall frame, he and his partner Daniella Karagach also earned a 22/30 for their Foxtrot to “City of Stars” by Ryan Gosling.

Chandler Kinney & Brandon Armstrong Defend Their Top Spot

Disney Channel actress Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong took home the highest score during the premiere night, leaving fans wondering if they could defend their title.

This week, they performed the Rumba to Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?” and earned a 24/30 from the judges. Derek Hough even noted that Chandler was made for dancing. Holding the top spot on the leaderboard for two weeks in a row isn’t easy to do.

Brandon Armstrong has never won a Mirrorball Trophy, though fans thought he and his Season 32 partner Lele Pons had an excellent chance. Season 33 could very well be his time.

Oscars Night featured a double elimination, meaning two couples had to leave the competition. Tori Spelling and Pasha Pashkov exited the competition, along with Anna Delvey and Ezra Sosa.
