Lindsay Arnold explained why she stopped wearing her engagement ring after fans noticed it was missing from her finger. The longtime “Dancing with the Stars” pro dancer spoke out in a TikTok video posted in April 2025 after fans began asking “a lot of questions” about her missing diamond.
“About three and a half months ago, two of the prongs on my main diamond… broke off,” the mom of two explained in her video. “I wanted to take the diamond and turn it into a pendant necklace. I’ll wear it for now, and then we’ll pass down to the girls.”
Arnold and her husband are parents to two young daughters, Sage and June.
Lindsay Arnold Wants a New Ring for her 10th Wedding Anniversary
There’s a big reason why Arnold is okay with turning her original diamond into a necklace: She and her husband, Sam Cusick, had previously agreed to “upgrade” her ring for their 10th wedding anniversary.
“Sam and I are coming up on 10 years of marriage,“ Arnold said in her video, noting that when the prongs on her original ring broke off, the two were “already talking about how we needed to start thinking about designing the new ring.”
“We’ve always kind of talked about doing an engagement ring upgrade at 10 years,” she explained. The dancer emphasized that there was “nothing wrong” with her original diamond but that she thought it would be “fun to do an upgrade.”
Arnold shared that she has already designed her new engagement ring and will pair it with a new wedding band in honor of her 10-year marital milestone.
Lindsay Arnold’s 10th Wedding Anniversary Is in June 2025
Fans won’t have to wait too long to see Arnold’s new rock. June 18 marks her 10th wedding anniversary to Cusick, so she will likely be wearing the ring by then.
The ballroom pro celebrated her last anniversary with a walk down memory lane on Instagram. “9 years married to my best friend,” she captioned a series of photos last June. Arnold also included a photo from her wedding day on June 18, 2015.
