DWTS Pro Jenna Johnson Disses The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei After Kelsey Anderson Is Accused Of Being Jealous

Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Jenna Johnson actually admitted she didn't want The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei to be her partner on the reality competition series. Jenna and Joey have been the talk of much speculation in recent weeks after their Dancing With The Stars season 33 photo shoot saw the duo get a little too close for comfort, at least according to their critics. Joey's fiancé from The Bachelor season 28, Kelsey Anderson, had to set the record straight and acknowledge she's not jealous of the situation.

The Bachelor’s Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson look somber, with Joey looking down.

Dancing With The Stars ' Jenna Johnson didn't want The Bachelor 's Joey Graziadei as her dance partner this season for a very specific reason.

While being interviewed on The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, Jenna ended up dissing Joey by divulging she wanted to be paired up with a completely different celebrity. She admitted she felt "a little sad" when she discovered who her partner would be because she wanted Danny Amendola since "I've never had a football player." When Jenna heard Danny was being cast, she thought, "This is my year. I'm gonna get the NFL guy."

According to the DWTS pro, Joey already knew about her initial feelings, so this revelation didn't come as a surprise during the interview. Jenna continued, "I think people think that we know who we're gonna have for a little bit [before ABC announces the cast]. That's not the case. They really like to make it a secret so it's an authentic reaction." After getting over her disappointment of not being paired with a football player, she quickly realized Joey's a "genuine" person and they "connected really easily." However, Jenna finds it annoying that Joey is so "freakishly good at everything."

Joey knows this. I’ve been honest with him. I think people think that we know who we’re gonna have for a little bit, that’s not the case. They really like to make it a secret so it’s an authentic reaction. But I had a feeling because I heard his name in the mix, and so I was a little sad because I’ve been promised—not promised—but I’ve never had a football player. Through my time on the show, I’ve never had a football player. So I kind of heard Danny was going to be involved, and I was like, ‘This is my year. I’m gonna get the NFL guy.’

[Joey] is one of the most genuine humans I've ever met. I think we just connected really easily and quickly, and we have so much fun...He's one of those annoying people that's freakishly good at everything.

What Jenna Johnson’s Disappointing DWTS Partner Means

Joey & Jenna's Scores Prove Jenna Has Nothing To Worry About

Jenna has been able to overcome her extreme disappointment at not being paired with Danny. She and Joey appear to have strong chemistry with each other, which is important when the contestants and dancers need to make the judges believe what they're feeling on the dance floor. So far, the competition has been going well for Jenna and Joey. During week 1, they received all 7's for a total of 21; they tied for third. For week 2, their total score was 22, tying for second place. These are ever-so-slightly higher scores than Danny has been receiving.

After some fans took to social media to question why Jenna had her hands on Joey in a promo photo for DWTS, Kelsey shot back at the critics after they accused her of being threatened by and jealous of Jenna. Her comments didn't dissuade certain social media users since she was then accused of overcompensating. Joey recently admitted that he requested a partner like Jenna, someone who was already in a healthy relationship. He took the initiative to try to ensure that this type of speculation wouldn't build, but it happened anyway.

Our Take On Joey Graziadei Being Jenna Johnson’s DWTS Partner

Joey & Kelsey Can't Escape The Drama

While their critics are trying to cause unnecessary drama, Joey and Kelsey appear to have no issues with Jenna as his partner. No matter what The Bachelor couple does, they can't escape speculation over the strength of their relationship. There have been a lot of celebrity contestants on DWTS over the years, but relationship rumors like this rarely pop up. I expect that Bachelor fans are so used to the drama on that show that they're willing to keep it going on Joey's new show. Jenna may have been disappointed at first, but it's clear she's with the right partner.
