DWTS Pro Makes a Big Decision About Season 34

Longtime “Dancing With the Stars” pro Artem Chigvintsev is hoping to get an offer to compete on season 34.

“Look, there’s divorce, there’s straining water, stuff. The rest it’s all history. It’s all done.
All of that is gone, done. You are a talented, passionate dancer. I want to see you back on TV on ‘Dancing With the Stars,'” attorney and podcast co-host Ilona Antonyan told Chigvintsev on the February 25 episode of “The Glamorous Grind” podcast.

“I would love to watch,” she added.

“I’d love to do it, yeah,” Chigvintsev responded.

Chigvintsev didn’t compete on season 33 due to a decision made in casting. However, he was never fired from the show or told that his time on the show was over, as far as the public knows.

Artem Chigvintsev’s Lawyer Previously Said He’d Love to Return to ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Chigvintsev went through a challenging time in his personal life following a domestic dispute with now ex-wife, Nikki Garcia. However, with all charges dropped and that situation fading into the past, it’s onwards and upwards for the ballroom pro.

In November 2024, Antonyan, who is Chigvintsev’s attorney, told TMZ that her client wants to be back on the show.

Around that same time, Chigvintsev made a surprise appearance in the ballroom. He returned to the show for its 500th episode celebration, sitting in the audience with longtime pals, Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd.

Artem Chigvintsev’s Sole Focus Is His 4-Year-Old Son, Matteo

Chigvintsev won’t learn his “Dancing With the Stars” fate until the summer. For the time being, he’s focusing on being the best dad he can be to his 4-year-old son, Matteo, whom he shares with Garcia.

“I just made this agreement with myself. That is like my focus is my kid, playing with him every single day and just have this like silly giggles that he does or whatever makes him happy. Like that’s what makes me happy, you know,” he said on “The Glamorous Grind” podcast.

“Like that’s what actually like makes me go. Like okay, this, this is a good day it’s a blessing it’s those simple things. I don’t think I can think positive anything else even remotely at this moment of my life where I’m at Like, my focus is my kid,” he added.

He’s focused on what’s in front of him in the now, rather than what lies ahead.

“There is really no time. All you have is now. There is no time,” he said on the podcast.
