“Dancing With the Stars” pro Artem Chigvintsev has officially returned to Instagram following a four-month break from posting to his feed.
On December 22, Chigvintsev uploaded a collage of cute photos of him with his only son, Matteo. He captioned the post with a red heart emoji and nothing more, letting the photos speak for themselves. He included the song “You Make Me Happy” as accompanying music.
This is the first post that the ballroom pro has shared on his feed since August — prior to his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence and his subsequent divorce from Nikki Garcia.
Chigvintsev has also removed any and all traces of Garcia from his Instagram feed, including the anniversary tribute he posted in August.
“Happy anniversary my love, can’t see my life with out you. You are my everything,” he captioned the now-deleted wedding photo.
After Chigvintsev shared the photos of him having fun with Matteo, he received a great deal of support from friends and fans alike.
For example, DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba dropped a red heart emoji in the comments.
“You are an awesome Dad. A son learns so much about life from his Father. Always hold your bond close,” one person wrote.
“It’s crazy how much he looks like you! Just beautiful together,” someone else said.
“What a great dad! He loves you so much,” a third comment read.
“Pictures are worth 1000 words. These pictures are awesome!! Hope you go back to DWTS. You were missed,” a fourth Instagram user added.
Though the past few months have been a whirlwind for both Chigvintsev and Garcia, he has been very vocal about keeping Matteo as his priority moving forward.
“I am incredibly relieved and grateful that the domestic violence charges against me have been dropped. This has been an extremely difficult time for me. I am thankful that the truth has prevailed,” Chigvintsev said in a statement given to E! News on September 25.
“He is my world, and being his father is the greatest blessing in my life,” he said about his 4-year-old son, Matteo. “All along, my main concern has been for him. I am committed to continuing to provide him with the love, support, and care he needs as we move forward. I am hopeful that securing an equal custody arrangement will help us move on,” he concluded.
